BLAT, the kids are great! They have a way of simplifying your life when they are born because they become your priority. I too had a job that took me away from my kids days at a time. But then I had other time with them when others had to work. It’s very simple , they just want your time and attention when you are home. Little moments will add up and you will be surprised when they are adults how much your influence will be engrained in them. Thanks for letting us know how important your family is to you. 😊
You are blessed. I lost my daughter two years ago to an impaired driver on the way home from school. She was 8 years old. I started fishing in the spring and go every weekend. It has somehow brought me back some enjoyment in life. I really enjoy watching your channel. You have a beautiful family. Cherish time with them. God bless.
Best video I have seen on any fishing channel. You can feel the pride and honor You have for your family. As a man that has raised 3 children I can tell You that You missed something in this video. You were once that child. I want to say something to the parents that raised You. They raised an excellent example of what a Man and Father is supposed to be. No doubt the pride and love You feel for your children was the exact same as they felt for you. Props to you and the entire B.Lat family. The world is a better place because of families like yours.
How the heck did I miss this vid? I can appreciate what you're saying here Brian. I was a career soldier of 21 years, I missed everything in my children's lives birthdays/concerts/girl scouts/school activities/holidays while being stationed and deployed all over the world. Any time I had to spend with them meant everything, every moment stashed away in my mental vault. This lifestyle emphasized how critical it was, every mission/assignment, that I had to make it back home if not for just a little while. I commend you Brian for finding your way and happiness. I sometime live vicariously through my younger siblings and friends, watching them with their families now navigating life. Thanks for sharing... This was a tear jerker for me. Fatherhood, its a totally different institution. There is a "balance" that life falls into without our effort. Raising a young man/woman to be strong and independent AND stiĺl be a responsible and cohesive part of society AND encourage him/her to be courageous and blaze their own trail and enjoy life to the fullest all within itself is the ultimate balancing act.
