The phone call was Walt’s way of protecting Skyler - making it sound like she had been against it the whole time and not gone along with it so as to not implicate her in all of the illegal activity. That’s why he was so accusatory but crying at the same time. And Skyler picks up on it halfway through (you can see her face shift), and begins acting submissive and apologetic to play into that role to keep the blame off of her and try to keep her children safe.

Talk about twisting the knife. Walt blames Jesse, not without merit, for Hank's death. If Jesse had gone along with Hank and Gomez and met Walt at the Plaza, Walt would have confessed and been arrested. If Hank hadn't recklessly broken multiple protocols in an effort to catch Walt himself, he and Gomez wouldn't have been on their own with no backup. He also should have called it in before calling Marie to celebrate it. Obviously, Walt has the overall responsibility as he's the one who chose to cook meth and build an empire, but he's not the only one to blame.

Blew me away. Didn't have the slightest idea, couldn't make a single guess as to where it would go for the final two episodes. What a wild ride. I’m pretty sure that phone call between walt and skyler was walt’s altruistic attempt (knowing that she would probably have the cops listening in on the other end) at lessening the severity of whatever punishment he felt was likely to befall skyler, now that shit’s hit the fan, he wouldn’t be able to protect them anymore, and he had already come to terms with: this was it…he had to get the f outta town or he’s going to prison, and he was never gonna be able to see or speak to his family again, without potentially being tracked down by authorities wherever he ended up. Where he was angrily telling her that this was all him, all his doing, nobody else, he was wanting the cops hearing that, hoping his family would take as little blame for this shitstorm as possible. Also…i don’t remember my feelings on who i was really pulling for my first time watching, but now, whenever i’m rewatching, mannn, my boy hank, i love that dude - such a truly GENUINE dude. Honorable always. No filter. Will say whatever to whoever, because 🖕🖕🖕And damn funny.

The phone call confuses a lot of people at first. It’s part of his plan to try and do damage control and save Skyler from being charged with crimes. He knew by kidnapping his daughter there would definitely be police listening and recording the call. He acts tough and takes credit for everything so the police will think Skyler was too afraid to turn him in.

Was definitely rooting for Jesse at this point of the show. Walt lost me when he killed Mike.
Understandable. He was a monster at that point. I rooted for Walt throughout. I was too attached. 😂

I absolutely love this episode, everything about it but i HATE the fact that when i watched it live with my cousins; my stepdad walks in and starts talking to us "how are you guys, how's your parents...." We couldnt tell him to stfu we're going through emotions and youre ruining it!!!
