The Battery Tender 4.5 amp Charger and Maintainer has been great to keep my AGM and regular batteries maintain to 100 percent at all times! #BatteryTender
You owe me 11:10 of my life back. WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST WATCH. I WAS ONLY A LITTLE CONFUSED AT THE START, NOW MUCH MORE. DUDE!!!!! PLEASE DON'T SAY YOU ARE A TEACHER OF ANY SORT 😮
Thanks for your feedback!
What didn't you understand? He made the whole thing as simple as possible.
@@williamfreeman6935 lol I appreciate the support! :)
This was awesome! My Mrs threw away my instruction manual and you saved me making some very costly mistakes!
Glad my video was helpful!👍🏼
Super helpful - thank you!
@@aryeh1954 thanks for watching and glad it was helpful!
Awesome Video Brother! Thank you 🙏🏾!!
Thanks for watching!
Appreciate the time and Effort to review this.
It is not step by step , skipped intro details , and assumed everyone knows or have used a similater jump starter.
I'm more frustrated .
@@KasoniecumulasBui sorry about that. This isn’t a jump starter tho. It’s a battery maintainer.
Thank you for the video.
Thanks for watching and subscribing. 😎👍🏽
You the best
thx for the video... the light was flashing.... now i know why.... thx again...r
Glad my video was helpful! :)
Thank you on explaining the green light on when it flashes.
Interesting though..the manuel says do NOT put the black(-) directly on to the negative part of the battery. But to hook to a metal part of engine.
Thanks for watching. Yea, most people put the ground onto a ground on the car or engine. I’m now expert. My Toyota is older so there’s less computers then newer cars.
This guy must be a comedian 😂
Only on the weekends!
Can you charge the device and then use without plugging it into the wall?
No, you need to plug it to the wall. It's a battery tender and not a power pack / jump starter.
is this good to jumpstart newer technology EFB type 12v batteries?
It’s not a jump starter. It’s a batter maintainer.
@@MisterMemo do they also sell jump starters?
@@comedyman112 the brand Battery Tender does. 😎👍🏽
So if my battery is completely dead, I have to get it up to two volts for this thing to work?
I left my car in the garage for a couple weeks and for some reason the battery is dead. It's a brand new car too which is kind of confusing.
Per the manual it says it needs at least 2v or more. This a battery maintainer you might need a battery charger. If you car is new I would take it in have it checked.
Based on your video, I just got exactly like yours. I just hooked up to the battery on my truck and the LED amber light (charging) is lid on but the green light for Fully Charged light does not flash or on . Is it normal. Before I hood up, I measured the battery voltage is 12.4 VDC. So still a lot of juice.
Base on what I know. If the Amber Charging light is On and the Fully Charge light isn’t Flashing or On at all it means that the battery is below 80% charge even tho you might still get 12.4 VDC. Once the Green light starts flashing then the battery is above 80% charged. once the green light is solid On then it’s reached its full charge capacity.
@@MisterMemo thank you for your response/
@@JLT2342 No problem! I use my Battery Tender all the time to maintain all my cars batteries. Save me money from having to be replacing car batteries from cars sitting around
12v/6v light blinking???
Is your battery completely dead?
For some reason when i try using mine the 6V light is on and blinking. Hitting the "select" button doesnt do squat for me to switch to 12V 😢
Sorry for the delay. Is that still the case today? Is your battery completely drained?
@MisterMemo no worries. No my battery is not drained. I try it on my other car. Same thing.
@@m.m4982 oh man, return it for a new one. I haven’t had that happen to mine.
Plug battery charger into wall outlet first. Then select battery voltage/type before connecting to battery.
@@yersiniapestis7383 indeed
You didn't explain the part I needed explaining--the connection to the battery. You said "put the positive HERE". Where is "HERE"?
I personally put the -negative (Black -) connector on the -negative post on the battery. Red connector on the positive post on the battery. My Toyota is a 1998, if your vehicle is newer you might need to connect it to a ground on the chassis. Please read your cars manual on how to charge your specific car.

Do you have to pop the caps off the battery when it’s on a trickle charge
Great question! Not on mine because it's a AGM battery. I know back in the days I'd pop the caps off the traditional batteries when charging. I'm no expert and recommend doing a bit more reach on doing that when trickle charging a battery.
Thanks... but over 7.5 minutes wasted before i got anywhere helpful to my situation. P.S. - where did you hook the black?
thumbs up though 👍😁
Sorry sometimes I have to keep it basic. 😎👍🏽. I personally connect the negative directly to the negative battery. Some newer cars might be different. (Make sure to look at your cars owner manual.)
@@MisterMemo Its a 2007 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro AWD So it's not new 😆
2007 is newer. I'd check your manual @@DarkKnightBruce
Si no enciende la luz de full carga que pasa
Si ya tiene horas y nada. Puede ser que la bateria no está buena. 🤔
Do you have to take off the terminals when doing this? Where do I connect if I want to use the ring terminals for a semi permanent solution?
I don’t take off the terminals off my Land Cruiser being it’s an older suv. Check your car’s manual to see what’s recommended for your car’s battery. Depending on the style of battery and its post and or extra post it might have you can connect the permanent connector there.
@@MisterMemo thanks for that. Some videos show I need to connect the black ring terminal adapter to a ground instead of the negative on the battery. Which is correct? I want to be able to just keep the ring terminals connected and just unplug and plug it back into the wall as needed.
@@gabemanabat7027 It all depends on your own vehicle. Older vehicles don’t have a bunch of computers like the new cars have. To play it safe I’d put the black to a ground and the red to the positive of the battery.
Can i turn on my car while its plugged in
I'd remove it before starting.
9:10 mark is very confusing. What do you mean, “all you got to do is put your positive + on to the wall?”
What do you mean by that? You’re all over the place.
You’re confusing because you keep repeating what you already said.
I meant the wall plug into the wall
@@MisterMemo ah do you mean "wall outlet?" ok
Yes. :) @@simplelangperorock
Thus awful.dont waist your time. He doesnt even mention the main part of where to connect on the battery
Thanks for your feedback!
