Dude, bonus points for the okho strat. Word of advice: it'll grow faster submerged with bits of tiny plants attached! Dude, try it! I had to get a grow tank just for the small bit I had with some moss I had on it. Trying it on some elephant stone right now, I'll let you know.

I love all of the tanks! They meant so much to you as you built them and the love comes across. I think my favorite is the nurse log. I live in Central Texas so we don't have as many woods to walk through and pick up things like that, but I'm going to start searching. Thanks for sharing, I love all of your videos!

I usually get my stuff from lampassas river off of 195! Just be careful but theres a few waterways you can get neat stuff in. Round Rock also have a dedicated fish store!!! Tiny Aquatics. I bought rocks and Wood from them wonderful place

How do you know a piece of wood or rock is safe to use? I’m always worried that it would be from a tree that has poisonous sap, or that it might have chemicals or pollution in and on it.
Naow, I aintcha boi chirs, but I stay away from any soft or fruit trees and any fragrant woods, like sandalwood. Let it dry DRY, some people even kiln stuff, but I can't. Then I boil it. The more you boil, the more tannins you pull out. Hang it up to dry, string, wire, w/e. Once it's fully dry again, it's ok, BUT now it gon do a float. Boil it again, I know, repeatedly changing the water, wait there's a reason, til when you can get an idea of how dark it's gonna make your water. Some people involve bleach, but I'm paranoid and honestly just read up more and find out what you think. Also, no green wood. That's living or wood that hasn't been dead long enough to dry out. No bark. Nothing rotten or bug eaten. Fungus bad for wood and fishies. If it smells of any chemicals, just leave it lay there. If you're the foresty type, should be easy. If not, become the foresty type or befriend one or do more research. As you can just imagine after all this, finding and preparing driftwood can be a whole thing in its own right. That's why all our aquarium stuff is so insanely priced. But it adds a layer of cool knowing about EVERYTHING, or maybe I'm just a nerd. Sorry for blogposting, hope it helps! Honestly, if you're unsure, just don't stick something in there, that's all ya gotta do, could always find something cooler later anyway, and you will. That and because wood rots away eventually anyway. Have fun, stay safe!

Loved this video of all these builds!!! The Endlers are super cute! We don’t have a LFS where I live, only big box. So I ordered 6 Pygmy Corydoras and they arrived today! They are in my 10 gallon Betta tank. They are so tiny and cute! All 6 are doing great and very active! 😊

Loved the video, and the builds a lot! I think Impact is my favorite build today. Great pieces of shale! I've never heard the term 'nurse log' before. Although I've seen them on walks in the woods, I never knew that they were called that, so thanks for teaching me something new! Always appreciated, for sure. I hope you do updates on your builds. I like to grow my Ohko stone submerged so that it is conditioned to be in water and won't die back any. It takes longer, but it's worth it.
I'd also love to get a nice big lowboy, but if I put another tank in the house, it either needs to be invisible or I'll need to blind my wife.
Seachem flourish? Why you doing this to yourself? I actually like a lot of their products, but never again on flourish. If I'm going to have to dose that complicated, I'm buying the salts and doing it all manually.

I live beside a river. There are a lot of beautiful drift wood just hanging out on the riverside :DDD Most of it willow wood, not the hardest and it is decay after a few years, but hows care, it is free XD I redo my scape after a few year anyway :P

It is a nice treat. You might have a sodalite. Sodalites glow like they are on fire under UV light.

Yo chris, if you ever get tired of using a watering can or so to fill up ur tanks. You should give water pumps a go. I got mine at my Menards (my local hardware store) by the outdoor fountains. Super cheap and saves time.
I’m not sure if this is good or not, can you tell me? So I have a planted 5 gallon tank with a nice aqua clear filter, and we went to petsmart and got 4 endlers and 2 blue mystery snails
Just a quick question, my mom really wants a betta *bowl* and I don’t know how to convince her to get atleast a five gallon, maybe I could get a large fish bowl and plant it for her? Or convince her to get a normal tank?
when collecting sticks and twigs, how do you test which are soft and which are hard wood? Wondering why bamboo does not appear in aquascapes, is it toxic to fish?

Ive always noticed you use stratum, is it good? Because a lot of people hate it and then I see you scape your tanks with it and I'm like, should I get it?
Do you not wash or rinse your stratum? I thought you were suppose to? Do you see a difference in not rinsing?
