Agreed lol I don't get that mindset. Unless people are playing on the hardest mode you can pretty much finish the game with any unit you want to use. People are insane lmao.
Since Fire Emblem games are about bonds and "connecting" with characters, I want people to know that if a character is your favorite, then use them as long as you want. Characters "powercreeping" others dont really mean much or matter much in these games, ive beaten many fire emblem games just using my fave characters, despite them often being ones that the communities found to be bad or didnt have the best skills. Strategy is more important and you can beat even the hardest difficulties using your favorite characters
Bro FE engage is currently my favourite FE game. Im only on chp 6 but this games is sooo much better than 3Hs, Awakening and birthright. Gameplay is just so damn tactical and strategic on Maddening and classic mode. Loved the new ring system. Honestly 3Hs just feels like a simple boring and flat game (in terms of combat and map design) after FE engage.nintendo really put their soul into making this a proper strategy RPG!! The social sim part is never the reason people play FE anyways. Gameplay is king and Engage has the best gameplay I experienced compared to 3hs, Birtright and Awakening.
Hi Abdallah, I’ve watched a ton of your Yo-Kai Watch videos and they helped me a bunch, I recently started playing again and remember about your channel and decided to watch some guides to help me. Thank you for helping me and my older brother play Yo-Kai watch we played the entire franchise (beside Yo-Kai watch 3/4) because of your guides so yeah Thank You 😊
What I don't see is the Engage bar. You can engage for like 3 turns and then recover engage meter by standing on the blue pools and what not but...how/where do I see how much bar I have? Protagonist's sword says if I kill a unit in one turn I get progress towards engage bar but that tells me nothing if I can't see said progress =(
Finally someone can explain how the game WORKS. I’m tired of seeing super giga ultra S tier class guide when I don’t even know what anything is in this game as a new player to the franchise.
I'm getting super annoyed with this game. I've played many of the older FE games and had ZERO problems with them. But this game is making me feel like I"m brand new to the franchise. I have to let literally every enemy come to me because engaging first is never good. But when they all come to me, there are now too many to deal with at once. None of my units can tank damage, and none can deal enough out. I cannot survive turn 1 of the first skirmish that pops up because SOMEONE always dies. There is just too much fluff with all the Emblem Ring stuff and other side things. Just give me my simple linear old style gameplay. I feel like I'm learning rocket science here.
Why they removed durability? If weapons are infinite wouldn't be way to easy just to farm and buy the strongest one? I mean In 3H I had way too many weapons and I rarely let any weapon break...oh....oh....I see.....I guess that answers my question 😅 I really don't know how to implement durability in FE again without feeling pointless. Can we sell weapons?
You can cheese out skirmishes for exp, which is good for training units that are lagging or training units you won't normally use. Just enter the skirmish with only one unit you want to train, let them fight until they die (if they kill enemies too easily, just let them fight a few turns then discard the weapon(s)), and then click b when they give you the option to take back moves. There should be an option to retry while retaining exp. Allows you to powe farm especially when you can skip opponent's turn with the + button.
@@raulrojas9253 i use this method for fire emblem heroes and the way i do it is bring healers to keep the unit alive, as long as you do not get crit you should not be able to die
I have a question. Axe users can use Hand Axes to attack from a distance, Lance users can use Javelins to attack from a distance. Is there anything Sword users can us to attack from a distance?
From what I've seen, this game looks like a good entry point for newcomers as it is very appealing and doesn't seem as complicated as other recent titles in the series.
Do I get a exp penalty for using second seal? I noticed that when reclassing Vander into a base class. So it's hard to gain exp now. Will i get the same penalty for switching promoted class to promoted class? I'm a little afraid to use these second seals.
I wonder, does the lower difficulty setting/s allow for infinite skirmish grinding? If they still have infinite grinding on certain difficulties, then it would technically allow for players to develop & use every character - at least let you mess about & get a feel for exactly who you'd want to focus on on say your 'main/challenge' play throughs. Really love the return of no weapon durability! Is forging also back in this game in some form? I remember in Fates where they introduced the no durability, it became an absolute hellish nightmare to grind out most anything beyond the bronze/iron/steel/silver in order to forge really good weapons! (...and you needed the first DLC pack to boot in order to farm anything of note!) Seeing a lot of the skills tied into the various emblem rings is certainly interesting, and hopefully will prevent the game from becoming too easy? (remember team-wide Replicate in Fates?!Lol) Also, when & how do we get to collect and pet all the cats?! Priorities Abdallah - isn't this game all about the cats?!
1) I believe you can grind infinitely in lower difficulties by using the unit you want to level up have it defeat some enemies and reset the stage. Since you will keep the exp gained. I’m not completely sure because I’m at the maddening difficulty. 2) You can refine weapons to upgrade/change them to other stronger(not all the time to something better haha depending on your build) with iron/steel/silver and money. So is a big decision to upgrade weapons in the early game.
3) some skills are linked to the emblems like weapons proficiency etc and special moves. But others you can inherit and mix and match with skills of other emblems. Which can make for some really good comes the more rings you have with high bonds
@@dennism05678 Hopefully skills are hard locked to the rings & don't pass on permanently... I mean sure, it's fun to have a save file full of OP characters who can 2-3 turn any map, but it does kind of defeat the purpose of a 'tactical strategy game' when things like Awakening's Galeforce or Fates' Replicate exist.
strongly disagree with 3 lol, if you like a unit use them. getting attached to characters is a big part of fire emblem.
100% agree that's the whole idea of the game.
Agreed. I'm already putting everything I have into the little mage boy 😂 I love him

How is the replay value? 3 houses and Fates had a TON, so how does this stack up?

Cant believe they made the new switch model into an anime girl.
Alcryst reminds me of Bernadette from 3 houses, lol. I'm here for it. I'm definitely building him out. Archers were my favorite class from 3 houses
i hope they don't make it so you can't recruit certain units, like in three houses, i hated that i wanted to have them all in my army.
You can get everyone
I’m surprised at the sheer number of first time players.

I am so happy you gave a positive review. So many people I have watched have complained it's not like 3 houses
"for veterans as well" no. If you're a veteran and you want some explanation on the new mechanics, go watch something else
It's gonna be my first FE, I'm so excited to come home and play.
Just got this today couldn't afford the dlc yet

We want to bring armor knights? Since when?
I’ve seen all of these starts in competition, but is there one better than another?
Does engage deviate from the free roam mechanic that Three Houses had? I was just not a fan of how much time was spent free roaming.
Nope. Same concept but better.
How come my vandor is partnered with Sigard, and has maxed out bond but he can't equip lances???
You’d have to change his class in order to have him be compatible with lances.
I gave the Sigurd ring to Alfred.
I feel like this game is like mystery dungeon
As someone who has only briefly tried FE this seems incredibly overwhelming. I'd love to get into the series but I'm so bad at it lol.
