It took me several try's because I was not on the right layers sometimes. I would apply effects and couldn't see them. Fantastic tutorial, thank you. 😀

Pretty sure I'm doing something like that, i downloaded After Effects yesterday and not familiar with the workspace so i have no idea what happens to my rotobrush when i paste it to the new mask layer, but its invisible... im on the fourth try

Wow, this is exactly what I was looking for. I ran the rotobrush on some 4K footage on accident and closed my previous project b/c I couldn't figure out how to transfer the mask. Thanks for your help!
Actually I have a question! So I also had to resize my mask by clicking on 's' to adjust the scale but there's a rectangular boundary (with red dots) around my mask that I can't get rid of, which cuts off the fire effect. I wish I could show a photo of what I mean, but do you happen to know how to fix this? Thank you

another fine tutorial! I had trouble with this one with the masks generated there was no single mask out of the 45 masks each of them was dependant on the other so had to work with all the masks copied to a solid - was slow but worked!
