So I have a Tivo 4k. I also have a 4k firestick and a Chromecast with Google TV. They're all good. I don't think the Tivo 4k gets the credit it deserves. It is a pretty good device. Great review.
which one do you prefer? I have the 4k firestick and seriously considering the Chromecast or the Tivo stream. Is it worth it?

This is currently $29 at Walmart !! Thats a steal of a price for this, i got 2 to play with that will probably replace the firestick from my living room tv and the cheap android box that my mom has on her tv at her apartment..

Can you get your hands on a Verizon Stream TV gen2? It uses it's own launcher like chromecast and firestick but it is a stb and has a better remote. It powered by USB c and has a usb2 port.

Hello everyone, I have a problem with the tivo 4K: When pairing bluetooth headphones without volume control, I cannot vary the volume with the remote control. Does anyone know how to fix it? I have one and it's not good because when I tried to use my Xbox or bluray player it just auto switches to tivo and it wouldn't turn off and it just heats up like crazy

I have the tivo 4k stream and it run youtube at 4k just fine so I think it might be yours thats having a issue or maybe it needs an update.

mibox will always readjust the resolution when off. so.please set that again when your.device on and before.watching. but mibox s does not.have atmos.and.vision on netfliex

I brought one when it first came out I don’t use it much because I have 3 NVIDIA shields and Apple 4K and a cube its okay for beginners that is the TiVo 4K
How good is the ff/rw features on tivo and nvidia shield? If you skip forward can you see the frames moving or is the frame frozen?
Good review, but have to say that Xiaomi Mi Box S is the undefeated king of the low budget until this day. It's either the Xiaomi or the Nvidia Shield TV Pro. The rest is just out there to play pretend
I just got it because the traditional style remote. The rest of the official boxes only have few buttons, no channel up down. So far, am liking tivo more than firestick 4k. Not as locked down either.

That's going to be a con for MOST $50 and less devices. You want that shit? Pay double it.
I has a USB C port (3.0) and can add USB hub to it. Actually used some cheap hubs from ebay with no issues (I have 2) . But Just replace your power block to a 2 amp one to prevent random restarts due to the Hub needing a little power. I use some Samsung blocks from old phones.

Tivo WON'T be a contender to Roku, until Tivo can offer a way to record TV shows, AND movies!!! Currently, Tivo doesn't give you that option! Roku does!!! Tivo used to be all about recording shows and movies on TV!!!
Since when does Roku offer this? On what device?

@mikemoore6909 Thanks for the reply. Is this different than just saving shows on streaming apps (e.g. RUclipsTV, Discovery+, etc.)? I would think these apps also do this on Tivo/Android TV.
@@Solemn_Kaizoku I haven't messed with the new Tivo much because when I did, I didn't see a way to save programs. I might have missed something though, but, I'm an old school Tivo user and didn't like the new interface. The old Tivos used actual hard drives inside the unit which stored your recordings. I believe Roku stores recordings in the cloud and you're limited to an amount of recording space. If you're not online though, you can't watch your recordings. RUclips is the same except it does allow you to upload videos and even share them with anyone else online without a restriction on the amount of space used. Those are definitely on "cloud" servers. The clips and media that are already on RUclips that you "save" are merely bookmarks of videos you like, basically. Sorry if that's long winded and confusing.
If you have IPTV, then it totally can record and be used as a full DVR. Love mine
