    I will go further: Once it generates something i like, I will split the stems, do audio to midi, take the miditracks in my daw to replace the instruments. Than I will take the isolated vocals to some AI Vocal modell to get a good, clean vocaltrack and: Tada: AI generatet Layout, handmade produced finish.....

    The green circle with 2/2 or 4/4 is the tracks it’s produced for you in this session, it resets to 0 once you’ve left the site, as for the prompts you have too many, and it will always take the first prompt and try and include the second, it doesn’t do key signatures time signatures or bpm, what I have found is if you add say…. Drum n bass, bjork as a prompt it’s try’s to match her way of singing, but doesn’t include her voice, loving this udio, just keep playing and creating while it’s free, the best thing I’ve found out is [verse repeats] for quick tracks, and [spoken] or [voice over] anyone else know anymore ? I just love to get a accapella of some stuff ive done😂😂

    I think that pop song was feeling rushed because you fed it too many lyrics. Every clip is 33 seconds long, so eight lines of lyrics does not give the song much room to breath.

    • @ChrisUnlocksAI
      @ChrisUnlocksAI  5 месяцев назад

      That's a great point. Looking back it , my thought was it would stop after the verse or just start the chorus. I will try just doing verse 1 and see.

    • @teebodk3917
      @teebodk3917 4 месяца назад

      @@ChrisUnlocksAI If you want consistency (the melody remaining the same over multiple verses/choruses) the first generation needs to contain one verse and one chorus. And remember it must all fit in a 33 second clip, so lines sould be pretty short, and not too many lines per verse/chorus... oh, and it often has problems if the number of lines is uneven.
      It IS definitely possible to get a catchy song, but it takes quite some work - despite what some may think, AI doesn't just do everything.
      Some tags I use a lot are "melodic" and "sing along".
      You can check out a couple of my efforts, if you search for the titles "A Little More Like It" an uptempo Dixie Chicks-like country song with a spoken intro (I did this to work around the intro-problems you also mention)
      There are also two very different versions of a song called "Reaching for the Drinking" one is a western swing style, while the other is a rowdy Alan Jackson-type song.
      There's also an (unfortunately incomplete) Bryan Adams-type song called "Great to be Alive" with a different version (pop ballad) named "Bonfire Moon" - two hymn-like songs called "Beautiful One" and "Me oh My", the latter changing over time due to the inconsistency-issue mentioned above so the last part of it sounds like old Smokie (Living Next Door to Alice-style)
      Special mention to a track named "Nocturnal Embrace ext v1" - so incomplete and flawed I didn't even bother to name it properly. It was an attempt at creating a sound like classic Electric Light Orchestra, and the lyrics are all over the place with emphasis the wrong places, rushed lines and some weird chord changes, BUT in essence it sounds EXTREMELY close to the ELO sound, maybe too close... since Udio downright refuses to extend it as if it's forbidden to continue on that path, and I've also been unable to recreate anything remotely close to that sound since, with UDIO more or less insisting that "symphonic rock" must refer to "symphonic metal"
      I also made a couple of songs for Ukraine, but here I run into the same problem as with the ELO thing, that UDIO seems to insist on going metal, almost no matter what I do... metal or some obscure noise-rock, alll because I want to use tags like "anthemic", "solemn", "majestic", "hymn" etc. - even if I also include tags like singer/songwriter, melodic, pop, folk etc. it still gets overruled by the metal/noise-rock urge. It took a million efforts to get anywhere near something I could use.

    I've been using Udio and Suno for the past few days, I gotta say I like Udio more, I'm mostly a metalhead, so anything I wanna mess around with regarding that, I've had better experiences with Udio. At first I didn't like that Udio only did 32 seconds at a time, but now that I've worked with it a bit and played around with it I like that more, the songs feel more malleable to how I want them to end up.
    Suno is fun for electronic music when I wanna do that, It's also easier to just do one offs and not think about it too much.
    Suno is the instant gratification generator (not super literally) whereas udio is better if you wanna be meticulous and form some in-depth aspects of your songs.

    UDIO does tend to make the previous parts muddier when it extends them. I assume this is due to it storing the previous 30sec sections in MP3 or some lossy source and so multiple lossys tend to get muddy, less dynamic and quieter.

    regarding the Instrumental Intro having gibberish, i have encountered this, and i know what causes it.
    when they import sample songs, they tell the AI what the lyrics are, and unfortunately, SOME songs have people talking or background chatter that is NOT listed in the lyrics. so the AI obviously think that that is part of the MUSIC, since no lyrics were given for them. so sometimes (not often) Udio will give out intros like that, with random chatter, since it did not perceive that as lyrics, it doesn't need to make sense. "it's all just music" to Udio...

      That’s why the true artist the truth created a true musicians will always have an advantage. It’s easy for us to do the easy stuff but the pros who really take the craft seriously will always stand out. I’m not a Taylor Swift fan, but what she just did with her latest album release no AI Ican do.

      Be the one who makes something different. You can use your own lyrics and try different genres, specify instruments and everything, if you want to.

      I can only speak for myself, for I used to write a lot of songs back in the 90s and early 00s, but stopped because all I could do was poor midi files, and it just didn't seem worth it for me anymore. Now, 2 days ago, I decided to try Udio, and have already created songs that sound exactly like Alan Jackson, Dixie Chicks, Bryan Adams and ELO - this did certainly revive my inspiration... and before people say, "oh, but AI does all the work", let me say that it still takes quite a lot of effort to get things right. So there's still lots of work, the end result is just so much better than those old pathetic midi files.

      I just had Udio deliver two great ideas today, totally out of the blue. I was making an Abba-esque song and was thinking of a climactic ending, when Udio suddenly threw in a children's choir for the fade. I absolutely loved it!
      The other example was an eerie, haunting ballad called "Echoes of Embrace" (the title sort of gives away the mood) It features an irish-esque flute and as I was ending the song, Udio made this flute sound almost like a bagpipe or a klaxon... and put it on a loop, repeating the last tone again and again as the song faded out. At first I really disliked it and considered it a flaw, but decided to listen again, and realized, that once again it perfectly complemented the song, this lonesome, moaning sound, stuck in repeat for eternity, like... an echo of the embrace of the title.
      These two examples above are both things I'd never in a million years have thought of myself.

      The only change for producer will be that original hand crafted songs will be extra sought after, proving that it is hand crafted will be the tricky part

      I appreciate the comment. I would disagree sometimes it does put out noise, however you can get just about any genre you want and with enough generations you can get something really, really good. I also think it's a great tool not a replacement.

      You could produce an ai track and then completely re-record it and no one would ever know the difference.

      @@ChrisUnlocksAI The differences would be subtle, E.G. bass would be bassier.

    Udio can't make modern music. Why is everyone raving about it?

      I think mostly it's the vocal quality, although they are definitely not all great sounding.

      There’s no such thing as ‘modern’ music lol. It’s all recycled genres put together differently.

      False. It can do modern metal, Dubstep, trap and edm with ease, especially trap and dubstep.
