    When an Indie Company Can Change Gaming more than a triple A.

    • @ValkyrieMercy

      Except they didn't change gaming. They only copied Ark and Pokemon. I've played over 40 hours of Palworld and am already bored. I actually can't wait to quit Palworld once my most anticipated game launches. I can see why 75% of the player base dropped the game. Not saying Palworld is bad, though I definitely wouldn't choose it over many other games. At the very least, AAA games have an amazing story. Palworlds dungeons are boring and bland. They're literally just copy and pasted over and over again. The boss battles are easy to cheese. The condenser mechanic is a mindless farm. There's no customization. The building mechanic is limited. And the pal's AI is atrocious. I get that it's an EA game so I won't judge the game too harshly. That said, it hasn't put many AAA games to shame. Palworld has many of its own flaws.

      @@ValkyrieMercy Honestly, being able to retain your attention for at least 40 hours before boredom sets in is mighty impressive for a game like this. ARK couldn't even get me to stay for an hour or so.... and it's one of the games that Palworld's proverbial DNA consists of. Frankly, I booted up Palworld thinking that I'll probably just do the starting area, build a base, exit the game and then forget it's in my Steam Library.
      206 Hours in, and I still haven't felt the need to put it down.
      Whatever Palworld is doing, it's doing it really well (at least for me). This game is a fugging anomaly in this day and age, man.

    • @ValkyrieMercy
      @ValkyrieMercy 8 месяцев назад

      @@XG417 Ark has proven to retain people's attention for almost a decade. Palworld has already lost 75% of it's player base after only three weeks. And even more people are dropping the game. Sales don't mean that it's better than Ark. If that was the logic, then Pokemon games are by default better than Palworld because of how much sales they make. Palworld is a fun game. That said, it's an incredibly flawed game.

    • @XG417
      @XG417 8 месяцев назад

      @@ValkyrieMercyOh I don't disagree with that in the slightest. ARK is popular for a reason, and obviously my experience doesn't apply to majority of the playerbase.
      Palworld, while it's a solid experience, does not have a lot going on at the moment, so of course players are gonna stop playing after they had their fill, and that's _completely fine._ Yet people keep talking about it like it's a bad thing when it's completely normal at this stage. That's what I could not stand.
      _(Honestly the only time I can think of this situation in a bad light is that if people are leaving in droves because the game is just insufferable to play with, and that's clearly not the case here)_
      Yeah, Palworld is, despite being incredibly flawed, is a fun as heck game. It's also a game with so much potential, one of the biggest I've seen in a long time. Once these kinks have been ironed out plus new content that will come out, just imagine how big this game would be, even more so than its opening week.

    60$ for a actual CD back then. 15$ for dlc usually and weapon skins were like 2-3$. Now it’s 70$ for virtual copy that isn’t owned by you, and 20 bucks for a battle pass, each skin is 10-30$.

    We got Prince of Persia the Lost Crown, PalWorld, Enshrouded, Helldivers 2, Tekken 8, Persona 3 Reload, Grandblue Fantasy Relink and its just March
    Some of the best games ever in their genres and some arguably just great hands down.
    While AAA is experiencing lay offs and that sucks for those who get laid off without warning, but for Japanese games and AA and indie it seems they are about to ahake up the industry and we are about to experience a platinum era for gaming in terms of quality and just fun games
    Hell we got BG3 last year, elden ring, RDR2, god of war, zelda and others. Great time to play games and also get into the industry but in the right sector like i said. Pretty much not avoid most western studios.....well AAA western studios

  • @rps215
    @rps215 8 месяцев назад

    I am unsure what the AAA publishers are thinking. They are thinking like games are still sold in completely physical form. Game prices being what is it right now because they calculated how much they can make the most money out of a game. If a game is too cheap, then they barely make money out of it, while if a game is too expensive then very few will buy it.

    The one game that can get me out of call of duty can be the 1st descendant which is coming out this year, its 120fps on current gen consoles, it has fov slider, u can skip all the story if u like, has so much to grind, its not toxic, no sbmm, pve, u play with other ppl online that can help u, its crossplay, dont have to worry about having a pro controller or playing against pc, i hope this game does well.
