I built my first plastic model in 1967, I thought it was a temporary enthusiastic moment of my life, but turned to be a life long passion..!! I enjoy your channel...!!
You better be getting paid by revell. For that matter anyone who gives you a kit. I've been building kits for years and watching you work is a pleasure. You make the best and most difficult parts of building(painting, weathering) look very easy. Your step by step is very clean and comprehensible I like that you make out of box too. It's quite easy to be swept up in all the resen and PE, how refreshing.I especially like your camo on the F-4F and the GamaGoatCheers and Keep up the good work. Post. I also would like to know why the green on the wings?
Very very good looking Corsair!!! You make it look easy!!! Never built a Revell Germany kit before, and watching you build this, and seeing how the engineering in the parts and how it goes together is very different!! Nothing like building the Tamiya 1/72 F4U-1A version at all! I ordered this kit today, looking forward to building it.
I just finished building and painting Revell's 1/72 F-22 and even my skills (albeit still beginner) doesn't even compare to you Dusan. You have inspired me to get back into building and trying my hardest to make them as well as possible. Keep up the good work my friend.
I'm sure people would tell me it's just a Revell, and this or that not is so hot about it. But when I built planes as a kid and teen, you'd be lucky to get a control panel for the cockpit; normally it was a seat and a pilot with apparent arm paralysis. Wheel wells? You were more likely to read the maker's name in there. The engine - sometimes just the front half - was one piece, trapped between fuselage halves as there usually no separate cowling parts. No wings ever fit the fuselage cleanly enough that puttying and sanding weren't standard. To watch a modern kit going together is amazing to me. I imagine the price would be, too, as my friends and I picked up 1/72 planes for as little as 59¢ (Airfix) and 69¢ (Revell)! Very different products and expectations back then!
ScaleModelAircraft great build Dusan however with regards to the clear parts in the kit being excellent, I would have to disagree. They are distorted beyond belief!!! Passable for a beginner but your not going to see any cockpit detail through that lump of plastic with all the will in the world. Keep up the good work.
That plane remembers to me TV series Baa Baa Black Sheep (1976 to 1978) starring Robert Conrad as USMC aviator Greg "Pappy" Boyington with Simon Oakland (R.I.P.), Dana Elcar (R.I.P. too), James Whitmore Jr, Dirk Blocker (Dan Blocker´s Bonanza son), Robert Ginty (R.I.P. too), John Larroquete, Jeff MacKay (R.I.P. too) and Larry Manetti and one of my favorite TV shoes in my teenager years. In fact, in 1979 I bought a Revell F4U-1D model like the one shown in video. Greetings from Venezuela.
Dusan, I just can't stop watching your videos my friend. I'm constantly bragging about you and your videos on my Facebook. Trying to get you all the fans you can handle...:-)
Your videos are awesome..!!! and the best part...(unlike other channels..) Is that the other guys spend every minute of their video showing their stupid face, instead of showing the build of the model...!!! (..is as if they were fulfilling a need to beTV famous or something..) Keep up the good work..!! I enjoy watching all the great stuff being made by REVELL made in Germany..!
Dusan, You went with the "Jolly Rogers" excellent choice. Decent over all detail for 1/72nd. Fantastic paint and weathering, model built out to be a beaut! Congrats! - Bob
+bob dyer Thank You Bob again for kind words! Jolly Rogers are my favorite... (I have F-18F, F-14B, F-4 in Jolly Rogers livery! ;-) All the best! Dusan.
Hi Dusan, thanks and yes I like your work very much. I'm an basic modeller but I enjoy my hobby a lot. I'll keep practicing and hope you keep your great videos coming too. best regards, Tim
Dusan, you must be reading my mind...I am building the older tool 1/32 F4U-1D Corsair right now! Just finished the cockpit. Man this kit has more flash on it than white on rice EVERYWHERE. On every part especially the engine which is actually nice once you get the flash off. I just thought what an amazing coincidence that you just built the Revell 1/72 new tool of the same aircraft. Decided to dry brush the instrument panel instead of using the decal at that larger scale the decal looks like a cartoon. Looks amazing....technique I learned from you my friend! Thanks so much!
A beautiful Corsair Dusan, your videos are very inspiring I especially enjoy learning your paint and weathering techniques. Thank you for sharing with us.
Very good result, and the kit looks solid. Steady hand on that airbrush. Curious, why the green chromate n some parts but not others? A voice-over might help, but really a very nice result and a well made video to boot.
That was amazing! Nice job. I have the 1/48 f4u-4 which is a bit older. Maybe you could have saved some blue paint if you only sprayed in the areas that needed it? :D
Hi,very good idea to reproduce the VF-17 squadron N 3. I think the red outline of the decals for VMF-214 N 86 is not correct It should be blue.Very beautiful build.
The green you're using for interior airframe parts is a bit darker. The protective coating used on aircraft is zinc chromate, which is a couple of shades lighter with almost a yellowish cast to it.
You do great work! I am getting into Scale Aircraft modeling ,and would like to know in your use of different Primer Colors, how do you know what color Primer is needed?
I like to use black primer or regular paint so I can check my work on panel lines and possible flaws with sanding marks leftovers. If I prepare plastic surface before paintjob for example, clean it with thinner or prep work solvent I can easily spray any color without primer. So for me crucial primer purpose is to check for possible errors. Thank You! All the best! Dusan.
Always wash your parts with warm soapy water first to remove the mould release agent from a plastic model, otherwize paint/ glue may not stick properly. Always!
Yes both types of paints...for example if i use acrylic base paint and acrylic coat for protection, decals etc (gloss) i am using the enamel wash for sure. Thanks! All the best! Dusan

Thank You very much for kind words! Btw, the yellow/green is a chromate primer peeking out for weathering effect. All the best! Dusan
ScaleModelAircraft How did you make the palm trees?
Very very good looking Corsair!!! You make it look easy!!! Never built a Revell Germany kit before, and watching you build this, and seeing how the engineering in the parts and how it goes together is very different!! Nothing like building the Tamiya 1/72 F4U-1A version at all!

You anticipate my question: how are the two Corsair kits, please?
Revells are the best models on the market, I love there website!!!On there website they give step by step instructions
have not bought this kit despite eyeing it for years, Looks really crisp and sharply detailed for a revell.
ha, i recognise that music from anywhere! KSP is epic! also love your build, painting same model right now
Beautiful build, Dusan! Very nice job with the Revell kit. Especially enjoyed watching you spray the camo freehand! Great job!!!
A beautifully built and presented F4U . Excellent video.
+ChancerNW Chancer Thank You! ;-) All the best! Dusan.

Beautiful F4u well done, I like the way you did the yellow-green on the wings and fuselage. It shows realism.
I am amazed at your work, sir.
It's always a joy to watch you build..................keep up the good work.
nice build
One of the best, the detailing adds realism to it, as if the actual plane had been shrunk down to model size, I love it!
I love the diarama and how it fits in well with it.
Excellent work. Thumbs up.
Excelente video desde Chile abrazo me encanta los aviones el aeromodelismo gran trabajo 👍👍

Amazing. Can you make video on A-10 Thunderbolt II ? I think it will be excelent
i personally love painting cockpit dashboards and gauge readers. i never use the decals :)
Yes, for 48th scale I would recommend painting the IP. All the best! Dusan.
Nice! Can you do a video on how you make a diorama display base please?
Your title reads "F4U-1D". The kit's box reads "F4U-1A".
Excellent build! I do have one question, do you use enamel or acrylic paints and washes?
Yes both types of paints...for example if i use acrylic base paint and acrylic coat for protection, decals etc (gloss) i am using the enamel wash for sure. Thanks! All the best! Dusan
