Thank you! I create music using various traditional African instruments and sounds, blending them with modern elements. The beautiful vocals are in Gikuyu, the heavy hand drum is a Djembe, and the studio drums are influenced by Senegalese styles. Here I also incorporate the Ngoni from Dakar, along with some custom synthesizers. Tell me something, are you still making music?
Excellent work. I share your videos to my entire family on our group chat. My daughter and I are going to get an Orisha determination reading very soon.🙌🏾
Such is the embodiment of the Great Wise Father you are. A guardian of the tradition for decades. I am Honored. Blessings to you and your family, and all the best at your reading 🙏🏾
I watch and listen to our history and knowledge. We did not use the term Ogdoad. It was called the Hmnw the 8. Neteru or Netcher instead of gods. All wisdom is Dhuyti and balance of wisdom is Ma'at
You’re absolutely right, we didn’t use the word Ogdoad or even English terms in ancient Africa. But just as we didn’t speak English back then, the purpose of language-whether it’s English, Ancient Egyptian, or any other-is to communicate ideas clearly. Over time, different languages and civilizations have given their own names to the same principles. My goal is not to stick rigidly to terms but to make sure the wisdom behind them is understood. The essence of the teachings matters most, whether we call it the Hmnw or Ogdoad, Neteru or gods, as long as we connect with the deeper meaning. Thank you for sharing this reflection; I hope you can appreciate the balance between honoring tradition and ensuring understanding.
@@house_of_horus Yes. Agreed. You are doing an excellent job. It was just a point out. But, I am listening. Thank you very much for your work. I will be sharing with others. I like the background music as well. We need our history to be told in anyway possible. As a teacher in the Montu warrior arts, I hope you post about Montu, Shango, etc. I am very big on teaching our Black African Self-development and defense. Again, thank you for all you do.
@@teanistillmon3341 Thank you for your kind words and support, It truly means a lot to know that the content resonates with you. I’ll definitely explore this, and when the time comes, your feedback will be invaluable, so please stay tuned!
@@house_of_horus excellent! Let me know when you do. You have Montu, Sekhmet, Sobek, etc. Others like Shango, Oya, and even the famous Medjay warriors. etc. We were and still are great warriors. I know the videos will do very well. As I mentioned, it's long over due to tell pur story. These types of videos brings unity because, we are all watching and sharing them. I will be incorporating these video and others to my students. WE are getting out there and like the movie Black Panther, we will be successful.
Thoth was the same as Orunmila. Orunmila is his name among the Yorubas and related tribes. While Thoth is a corruption of his real name among the ancient Egyptian. A little close but not the same thing. And also, most likely to be the same as Melkizedek, his reincarnate in days of "Abraham". Because, it's known in Yoruba cosmology that Orunmila wasn't born of a woman and also didn't pass away as human. This is a well known attribute of Melkizedek.
Thank you for your insights! What you're referring to seems to align with incarnations or manifestations of a deeper force. In this video, we focus more on the archetype, attributes, and energy that gods like Thoth, Orunmila represent. At the highest level, all these different facets are expressions of the Divine Masculine, manifesting in a multitude of ways. Any earthly entity ascribed these names are manifestations of these forces, not the forces themselves. To dive deeper into how these various expressions map out in African cosmogony, I recommend checking out the playlist this video belongs to, The Great Father Archetype: Whispers of Cosmos and Counsel in African Traditions. It explores the unified essence of the Divine Masculine across different cultures.
