Whenever I hear Suzan’s voice I feel so overwhelmed with emotion. I absolutely love her angelic voice. She’s amazingly beautiful! Sings like an Angel in Heaven. God Bless her gift.
This beautiful yet melancholy song was composed in 1802 by Thomas Moore , a native of Dublin. He was a prolific composer and some of his songs like this are still alive and very healthy. There are several singers and versions on youtube and this is my favourite.I expect it will be seen by a million people in due course.
Overview Lyrics Listen Other recordings Main results 'Tis the last rose of summer left blooming alone All her lovely companions are faded and gone No flower of her kindred, no rosebud is nigh To reflect back her blushes and give sigh for sigh I'll not leave thee, thou lone one, to pine on the stem Since the lovely are sleeping, go sleep thou with them Thus kindly I scatter thy leaves o'er the bed Where thy mates of the garden lie scentless and dead So soon may I follow when friendships decay And from love's shining circle the gems drop away When true hearts lie withered and fond ones are flown Oh who would inhabit this bleak world alone? This bleak world alone

I have heard this lady singing and agree that she has a lovely voice but the phrasing in this version is all wrong I'm afraid. The song should flow smoothly without all the pauses.
who is the soloist? Spoilt this song... This was an Victorian song - the quite era with nature being quite close to peoples minds back then. Nothing like today, all crap and useless stuff that we don't really need.
