Hello i have a question and i cant find anything about it in the internet. So i hope you use an apple pc because it appears that this only works in apple. If you use any shape or a line (not the path tool) in Illustrator and hold the < pressed while "drawing" the form or line it creates automatically a lot of lines or shapes which gives a super 3D effect out of graphs. It doesnt work like that with my windows pc and i cant figure out how i can make it work. I tried every Keyboardkombination i can imagine. Do you know what this effect is called so i can look it up? Thank you for your time!
You can do the same pattern view in illustrator and offset it. It's much better than Photoshop's pattern system/view. I wouldn't encourage anyone to create patterns in Photoshop over Illustrator - not really a good practice.
Sometimes we do add them on-screen when it would work, mainly in the tutorial style videos, but we have captions too if you didn't understand what I said at a certain point which might help
Hey Will Paterson, I have a request. I love your videos but can you make more design centered videos rather than software based. I can't afford creative cloud so I use inkscape and it does not have that many features. Thank you!
I do have quite a lot of videos around design in general, but people really love the hacks and tutorial videos which do largely involve using software and I really enjoy making them, so they'll be sticking around :)

Hope you enjoy the video! New Video Here:
It seems like we would need Adobe software for these design hacks. Would have been great if you had mentioned that in the title as well.
40 Seconds in and I'm already feeling like an Illustrator rookie. I'm learning way quicker than I did in college.
That's why I'm here! Hope you enjoy the videos :)
Are you putting these videos together as a series or playlist Will? They are all incredibly useful 👍🏻
Both! I’ll be organising them all :)
I love the Abi shoutout.
Good morning Will. Thanks for you sharing your passion with us!
My pleasure!
That rounding function was incredible. A big help.
Thanks Will, the hacks in photoshop were truly amazing, would love to see hacks between AI and PS
Thanks very much, Will.
How you create this "pen tool text format" 2:14?
Love your videos! Amazing work! Maybe with the Illustrator patterns, in pattern options change "copies" to 9x9 🤔
Thank you for sharing! ❤
Thanks for watching!
Thank you! I love your videos!!
Thanks brother!
These hacks are actually useful and unique, keeping posting more ❤️
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Great tips! What is the final product for creating a Canva presentation template? Does the client have to use Canva or does it export other formats?
The client can use Canva to edit certain parts (ie the name on the business card) but you should send them the files anyway in the usual formats :)
2:58 somebody knows the font name?? been searching it for an hour now
Sorry for a stupid question. How do I select the inward shape?
5:05 that is only avaible in the lastest version of Illustrator, No?

Your new background reminds me of the movie cover from the 40yr Old Virgin.
Good 🌟 👍🏻
Phenomenal! Please do more!
I would also love to see you take some of them and do longer videos with maybe real life uses? 😊
Great shout!
I have the latest version of Ai but the Match Fonts option is not available. What should I do? :\
Nice tips
Love your videos ...

I've been a fan of your content for ages, and it just dawned on me that I haven't subscribed until now
I appreciate that :)
This is amazing! Could you pls write the commands and put them on the video? As a non english speaker it would be so helpful 🙏🏻 Thank you so much

I can't help but wonder if an AI helped make the graphic in the thumbnail, if not whoever made it did a good job. Thanks for the video!
