  • Patrick McKeown discusses the benefits of breathing exercises for improving mindfulness, managing stress and anxiety, and enhancing public speaking skills. He emphasizes the importance of focusing on the body and breath, rather than just the mind, to bring a sense of calm and clarity.
McKeown highlights the benefits of nose breathing for better sleep and cognitive function, and shares results from a pilot study demonstrating the effectiveness of simple breathing exercises in reducing nasal symptoms. He also discusses various breathing exercises for relaxation and nose opening, and encourages listeners to practice breathing techniques to improve blood flow and induce relaxation.

This has stopped air entering my stomach and my need for antacids have disappeared. Also, I haven’t needed my asthma inhaler ( mouth inhaler) and no need for my allergy medicine, so many benefits in the 2 years I’ve been following your recommendations. Too numerous to mention. I wish I would’ve known about this 70 years ago. And it’s FREE

You are saving my life. Im 28 years old and have been mouthbreathing and dealing with sports injuries and a host of other issues. Since i started nose breathing and taping ive been feeling more focused and dont need daily naps as I used to. My breathing was so shallow and high in the chest always. I have completed the prereqs to be a PT but I knew something was wrong with my health and that I'd fail PT school if I didnt figure it out what was wrong. Now I know what to do and as a pt i want to train with the buteyko method for my future patients. Thank you for your life changing help!

I wish I can hear him explain breathing while eating or while holding in the perineum... the organ between our genitals; is what we clinch to when we have to hold our urine or bowel movement to avoid it from collapsing. I have noticed when my stomach is empty of fluids, I can let go of this organ and breathing becomes much, much easier... even while walking or running. Hence I live at 7,200 feet above sea level. Thanks, Patrick.

Its insane how many problems are caused by mouth breathing. Someone needs to estimate the yearly medical costs by country that could be eliminated.
