  • This video was an attempt to recreate Tim Hollis's legendary recordings of the ride, which you can find on Okee68's youtube channel, who did this idea before me.
The aspect ratio is wack because of the editing program I used

I hope a full ride through is found someday just so I can see what 2:50 was really like. The scary elements are the best parts of dark rides, especially the older ones. Until then I'll always have this video.

Six flags needs to bring back this ride. Especially with splash Mountain going away it would be poetic to bring back the original bigger and better than ever. It would really put six flags in Georgia back on the map

First off, disney still owns the rights to song of the south, and why? I don't see any hope as teenagers usually go to this park and not a lot of kids, this ride would just go into decaying, so no, but hey atleast the speelunkers are returning since they are more mature than this

@@SlushysSecret I respect your thoughts, but there's three things. First, yes Disney owns Song of the South, but they personally disowned it to a point to where you could probably get away with bootlegging it. Second, you wouldn't have to do that cause this ride is based off of the stories of Uncle Remus, which Disney doesn't own. And thirdly, this ride could a have better turn out than monster plantation.

@@AbsurdJANGO it would still be called on as racist by people anyway 🤣

@@SlushysSecret Tales of the Okefenokee was not directly based off of Song of The South. Though the Okee took inspiration, it is mostly based off the Joel Chandler Harris stories of Br’er Rabbit, an African folklore character.

Interesting- some of the clips in this seem unfamiliar to me, even though I’ve been through Okee68’s entire channel! Did you find anything new? Or am I just forgetting stuff? Great job anyways-glad to see that this old ride still gets love.

I definitely didn't find anything new. There's a file that Okee68 has publicly on their channel, so that might be what some of the new stuff is from. Thanks for commenting
