Use this video to help guide you through Part IV of the Unit 7 HR Diagram worksheet (focusing on spectroscopic parallax). It explains how to correctly calculate the distance to stars once you've obtained values for their apparent and absolute magnitudes. In the worksheet, the apparent magnitude is given, but you must estimate the absolute magnitude from your HR Diagram as part of the activity.
