glad it was able to help my dude! and occasionally but i have to get into posting more on here haha. Also awesome to see you here and keep me posted on IG!
Hey Jared this is great! I just got the SP-404SX and I am trying to record into Ableton. Is there a trick in the Preference settings? Ableton doesn't recognize the SP404SX. I would like to perform on the SP-404SX and record with other beats in Ableton but I must be missing something, Thanks for any help. Looking forward to the Music Momentum :)
yo! i'm doing this same thing but with a 303. i have everything plugged in correctly with brand new cables, when i hit external source I get a really loud high pitched terrible noise. even with the volume turned down on the 303. any idea what's going on with my setup?
Hmm off the top of my head I can't think of anything, but maybe if i could see your setup we can work through it together. If you want shot me a message on Instagram @justjaredbeats and we can talk
I can't see a downside to this workflow. You literally get to have the freedom that a DAW offers with all of the benefits that most people BUY and SP-404 for in the first place.
I have all of this set up, but The audio is not coming back from the SP so I get no sound. Any idea what I could be doing wrong? Running sound out of my interface 3/4 to the sp, out of the sp to inputs 5/6. In external audio effect I have audio to 3/4 and audio from 5/6, but the meter for audi from is completely dead and I get no sound. Please help!
Hmm that definitely sounds like a strange one. If you want shot me a message on Instagram @justjaredbeats or at my email and we can get on a call to try to work it out!
@@gongjieqi3950 so I did end up solving the issue! For me it was a mistake on my part in operating my mixer. Even though I had everything connected properly, I needed to manually send the signal out of my mixer to the SP. that meant manually raising the send fader on the outputs going into the SP, which I didn’t do prior. After that it worked like a charm. Hope this helps, let me know!
@@Orcaudio3 Thanks bro, just to let you know I solved the issue, it was because I didn't set the correct setting to output from ableton to apollo 3/4. Now everything is working.
I currently only have a Scarlett Focusrite 2i2 and theres only a single stereo out. My question is is there still anyway for me to connect my sp404sx as an external effect and if I cant do it with my 2i2 by itself, are there any adapters of any kind that can add some more stereo inputs to my focusrite so I can send the out of the SP back to my interface
Im not aware of anyway to do it with just the 2i2 since it doesnt have the outputs. The only thing i can think of is to put a splitter on your aux but I think it will end up in a feedback loop. The best bet would be to get a different interface with more outputs if possible to make the workflow easier. Also depending on what your doing you could use the 404 to record from the computer, then rewire everything and go from the 404 back into the DAW if that makes sense. Shot me a message on Instagram if you want, might be easier to have a conversation on their, hope this helped though bud!
