    Hopefully we'll get Luna improvements in the same ballpark

    Hi Matt, Great test. Thanks again . Perhaps the biggest work flow efficiency for me from Native Support is the realization leaving the project studio after tracking for a day tethered to an Apollo . Nightly I sit at home on my couch with w an M1 laptop and AirPods fixing a mix. This freedom is liberating. Being untethered while still using great UA plugins is game changing.

      Which plugins are you finding yourself using ? Have you had to change your workflow at all because of the limited native plugins currently available?

    • @MattHepworth
      @MattHepworth  2 года назад

      My workflow has changed a bit, but for the opposite reason. I reach for the native version first now. I also found that I'm using the 1176 collection and LA2 collections as much now as I did when the were first released years and years ago.

    Looks good and pretty consistent with a lot of other situations where Rosetta 2 seems to incur about a 15-20% CPU penalty.

      Impressive performance lift. With other manufacturers it's been so marginal...

      This along with the Pultecs finally got me to sub too.

    Hopefully UAD plans to get VST3 compatible very soon! Universal Audio is relatively (way to) late compared to other manufacturers.

      I'm confident they're working on VST3. They have way more plugins than most manufacturers, so I'm sure that's a time consuming aspect.

    Great demo as usual Matt! Curious, any reason you chose Studio One as the test subject? TC

      Thank you! Mostly just because it's efficient and M1 native.

    What's your Apollo Input Delay Compensation set to in these tests?

    • @MattHepworth

      Normally off, but I'll double check what it was set to.

      I'll do a quick test. I've heard that from several people as well.

    Please re-run the test on a base model, $2k Apple Mac Studio Max chipped machine...I dare you ;)

      Wish I had one. This was done with the standard M1 mini with 16GB RAM.
