  • A simple video on how to swap out the battery doors on the freespeak ii intercom belt packs for the new battery doors. I love the new doors and Im glad Clearcom listened to customer feedback. You can also find the door replacement link below.

Sorry this is off topic from your video but I was hoping you might be able to share some of your com wisdom with me. … I’m using a clearcom ms-702 base station and often have crosstalk between IFB to talent headsets and the headset mic output to the mixer. Have you ever experienced anything like that? When I latch the b channel open to talk to talent, my voice gets picked up on the headset mic line (making sure the mic is away from the headphone speaker of course.) Just really curious if you’ve dealt with anything similar. Thanks!

Sure , lots of odd things can happen. 1. Is the ifb and mixer send coming off the 702? If so is is it line level?
      2. What is your routine path to ifb ?
      3. Is ifb taking in 2wr com level from 702 and is there a stage announce output ? Or are you using a line dryer to strip 27v 2wr to line level ?

@@KINETICPROFESSIONALS Thanks for the quick reply!
Yes, my IFB had a PGM mix via PGM input on the 702 and IFB was routed from Channel B to headset box. I originally had a line dryer in between the B channel output and the IFB input on the Talent headset box but for some reason couldn’t hear IFB on the headset when the line dryer was in use. If I removed the line dryer and went direct w/ com level power, I heard IFB and the headset mic, but that’s when my director mic went out over program too. I had phantom power going to the headset mic too.
And yes, it was line level leaving the mixer to the 702 PGM input.
      I wasn’t using stage announce.
I really just need to sit and test at home and troubleshoot but was just curious if you’ve ever experienced this issue. And yes, that video you linked below is what prompted me to purchase a line dryer about a year ago. I’ll rewatch it tho and see if I’m missing something else… obviously I am.
      Thanks for your help!!!
