That's not what he said. He said he can't treat the Blake and Floyd cases as interchangeable because the circumstances were different. Floyd was already subdued and unarmed, and Blake was in the process of committing a felony and was armed. Prior to that he said his message to the Blake family would be that where excessive force has been used then they have a process in place for investigating it, and they are following that process. The process has to be fair to all parties involved, INCLUDING the police officer. That's not what he said. He said he can't treat the Blake and Floyd cases as interchangeable because the circumstances were different. Floyd was already subdued and unarmed, and Blake was in the process of committing a felony and was armed.
Prior to that he said his message to the Blake family would be that where excessive force has been used then they have a process in place for investigating it, and they are following that process. The process has to be fair to all parties involved, INCLUDING the police officer.
