It was a great game - and that was an amazing era for fun baseball games. I was also really into the Bases Loaded series, and I remember how blown away I was when I played the SNES versoin.
Honestly, my favorite baseball video game is “Homerun!” So fun. Me and my cousin aren’t old, 15 and 16 respectively, but I loved homerun and my cousin and I played it. He doesn’t like Atari games, but he now will play Pong and Homerun.
Thanks for commenting. It always makes me happy when I see someone that is a lot younger than me playing these old games. Thanks for helping to keep these simple but fun games from being forgotten. Best wishes to you and good luck in the future:)
RBI 2 Had all players for every team plus NL, AL all star teams. Still in my opinion it just doesn't hold up on the fun factor when compared to BB Stars and BB Simulator 1000.
@@Gen-X-Memories yeah RBI was out a few years before Baseball Stars, so that was my go to until BS came out. And 16 bit ? Ken Griffey JR presents MLB on the SNES is another classic. If you like baseball games you’ll love it. Easily the best baseball game on the SNES
@@GuitarGeo1973 Thanks. I kind of passed on baseball games during the 16-bit Era. Once Madden started we were plugged into series on the Genesis. I will probably take a look at some of the 16-bit BB games in the near future.
I don't remember where I got my copy from but it was kinda beat up. I used brass cleaner to clean the connectors and replaced the battery. It now works like a charm.
@@Gen-X-Memories nes had the best sports games. I still play a lot of baseball nes games. All stars , bad news and baseball ball sim (love the superpowers). Heck I still play super techno bowl, blades of steel , ice hockey and double dribble. Lately I have been playing track and field 2 as Olympics itch
@@Simpsonsnut101 Yeah, having your buddies over and playing sports games on the NES and the Sega Genesis was always a blast. Thanks for subbing to the channel I really appreciate it:)
Baseball stars was the first game I "had to have" when I started collecting NES titles again. Fond memories playing this by myself.

SNK made some good baseball games back in the day. I remember playing Little League baseball on repeat with my friend.
Yeah, I remember playing that one also. It looked like it could have been the same game engine.
SNK Baseball Stars was a top 5 NES game imho. Building your own team, upgrading your players and just the overall game play made it the best.
I agree with you Jeff and that is a very crowded field with a crapload of good competition. Thanks for watching and chiming in:)
RBI Baseball had the real players and the charm, but this was definitely the best baseball game on the NES, still play it today !

Try "Frank Thomas Big Hurt Baseball" for the SNES. It's a good game and you can name the teams whatever you like.
Great Baseball on the SMS was fun.
NES had the best baseball games and Baseball Stars was definitely the best

Bad news baseball but it has bunnies for umpires . It was a little silly but I loved it. I love the cut scenes .
Yeah, I remember playing that one a few times. I think Tecmo put that BB game out.
