spektorish - oh, how I agree, with you on every level. The dance scene that featured this song was so dramatic and intense, it did take my breath away; and, it was mesmerizing!!! 💖
I honestly wonder how much time was spent on both researching the mystical and the macabre because it truly looked evil-- I am a bit superstitious and that scene was a bit strong for me lol it felt like they were truly getting at something dark, and evil-- also, I just wonder how long it took for the scene to be shot, and how many times they rehearsed it! Great film
If suspiria had as many viewers as Thom York fans watching this video, we could have had a sequel confirmed. Not blaming on anyone but damn, go to the theater.
The majority of people here probably don't even know who Goblin is. But this is definitely a good homage to Argento's Suspiria, though it sounds a bit more similar to Tangerine Dream, some of Pink Floyd's psychedelic stuff, Boards of Canada, and Angelo Badalamenti (a musician that did most of David Lynch's soundtracks) than Goblin. Still, a gossamer of Goblin's prog is nevertheless somewhat present here, if only tangentially, at least to me.
Terrifying, immersive, the music surrounds you. You feel like your floating up against the wall and your body is liberated of it's vital organs. They are replaced by the overwhelming feeling of terror. Stupendous, Thom, you just don't stop making genius pieces of music.
A lot of people despised it and said it was trash. I’m usually cool with differing opinions, but worthless trash? This film was fucking incredible. I like the original, but the remake is by far my favorite. The climax with all the crazy stuff when mother suspirium arrived was epic. I didn’t think my gore/blood appetite was going to be satisfied and I’m so glad I was wrong.
For some reason Sara getting possessed and performing that dance freaked me out more than Olga being turned into a pretzel. Don't get me wrong what happened to Olga was horrible but seeing Sara and her eyes...nobody was home...just creepy and a bit more scary...
Not just her pneumatic appearance, but that she was also dancing on a broken leg with the bone fracture literally sticking out even with the skin covering it and had no control over herself.
Omg me too!... it scared me how brutal and uncaring the witches were....sara was genuinely fair and innocent but as they say 'curiosity killed the cat'... she is one of my favorite characters...
Ricardo Gonzalez Unfortunately he didn’t make the shortlist for Best Original Score but Suspirium is included in the Best Original Song shortlist, fingers crossed it will be one of the five nominated ones!
that's exactly how i felt when i first #heard and saw the video for #just .... dude!! you gotta see all my faves by York on www.onlyfans.com/find_inure_me 😘😘😘
I discovered that, by giving those talented musicians (with a experimental inclination) a set of constraints ( like doing movie scores ), we will end up with something fresh and amazing.
I’ve never heard more painful sounding screams until that scene. Honestly it was way more gruesome than Olga’s scene. Side note: Sara literally not seeing what’s in front of her and falling after trying to escape is what happens to her in the original. The movie is full of little callbacks to the 77 version in a weird roundabout way I love it
@@BboyTurok1990 And that's the toned down version. In the script, you were actually supposed to hear Sara's broken bones shifting around in her leg as she danced.
I listened to this on the way out of work and an area of the place is under construction. All the flapping caution tape and leaky pipes created this tension of danger. The sun was still out and I was afraid that someone was going to come out at me any moment.
This scene and choice of score totally took my breath away. I just kept remember thinking, "I don't want this to end!" York's score and scene combined put me in a complete TRANCE, SPELL even! Seeing how the movies about (SPOILER), its completely fitting and a cinematic mark 4ever... for me at least!
Mr. Yorke seems to be driven by an unknown force during making the Suspiria OST. Somethinh many other musicians have lost. There it is. Reborn. Into our world.
Hypnotic and beautiful, both the music and the visual. I hope every track will eventually have its own video, 'cause I really love this style, it's truly a work of art.
Some of the best scenes in the film were definitely its 'Volk' scenes, the energetic and entrancing soundtrack corresponding with the equally energetic and entrancing dances was just absolutely magnificent. Those scenes as well as the dream sequences are definitely a source which I will take some influence from in the future.
Amazing hypnotic tune, like a descent into the deepest darkness of the human mind. This could also work perfectly in the lighthouse scene from Annihilation
This reminds me of both the MDK intro, the theme for Tetsuo: The Bullet Man, Starkey - Yellows and Greens, and something I haven't heard before. Amazing mix of impressions.
I got no words but sublime! Thom Yorke is a G-E-N-I-U-S 👏🏻 Just imagine this music in a spooky hospital corridor.... This music reflects quite well the dark, macabre and uncomfortable atmosphere of the film. It's like a serious warning about what happens behind the Helena Markos Tanz Akademie scenes. Brilliant!
This reminds me of being confused by trains in Japan, amid a sea of endless strangers that I felt obliged to be aware of and constantly respectful towards. But particularly one tired night while riding the train, I had this horrific thought as I starred down the length of the passenger car I was in. It was filled with all these homogenous looking people in their corporate uniforms, men and women alike. And all I could think of was movies like the ring or the grudge. I was waiting for some kind of jump scare that would turn my face into a cubist painting.
The experience really stayed with me. I felt like I was living in a Japanese ghost story some days. A month of not being able to understand a thing anyone is saying, and have no idea what is going on apart from what is relative to your everyday life is kind of unsettling.
Suspiria is the finest example of gothic horror, with good visuals, atmosphere and story.
Thanks
Hell yeah
@@andreamossel3831 why are u thanking him
The scene that features this full song was breathtaking and intense. It's enough of a reason to see the movie again, imo!
Which scene was It? The dance?
spektorish - oh, how I agree, with you on every level. The dance scene that featured this song was so dramatic and intense, it did take my breath away; and, it was mesmerizing!!! 💖
The Volk dance was one of the most compelling sequences in film I've ever seen, it was otherworldly.
Fuck me this was such a great scene
Now i have to see this!
looks like after all these years, thom has finally gathered enough knowledge to contact the mothership and leave to his home planet
HAHAHA
that assessment speaks volumes regarding your lack of knowledge..rather than his
So he already had the knowledge before?? Back when it was subterranean? I don't know, he was a pretty homesick alien.
They’re gunna show him the stars and the meaning of life

Before I saw Suspiria I enjoyed how atmospheric the track was.
After seeing the movie, I still love it, but now I'm frightened of it.
Indeed, i still love it❤
Kyle that’s actually really cool!
Yup
If clinical anxiety had a sound, what would it sound like?
Thom Yorke: Hold my beer
This dance sequence in film is very hypnotising 👌🏻
The dances in general are
Yeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssss..... I hated contemporary dancing....until I saw that masterpiece....simply wonderful...
The dance is amazing!
The dance and the music run each other around, hypnotizing us all!
The ritual scene is amazing too.
The Volk performance was cool. The sounds of the dancers sighing, etc. in unison worked well with the music.
it was phenomenal
Yes it was art, the dance felt so aggressive. I loved it!

It was beautiful and almost primal.
It was rhythmic, persistent, aggressive and majestic
Imagine playing this in your car at night while driving alone down a rual country road.

Whilst stoned. Dear God I think I'd have a full-blown panic-attack :o

It was barely playing in any theaters. For a lot of people it would’ve been an hour drive at least.
Thom Yorke sounds nothing like Goblin but somehow this still sounds like Suspiria

Sorry, I have to say, this sounds terribly pretentious. Almost in a ironic way. But I kind of agree with you.
Shut the fuck up you monocle wearing pop tart.

Words I would describe a lot of Radiohead's music!
Yes! I keep pushing replay each time it ends and it's terrifying me in the most exhilarating way!
Great song to put on at a wedding, bewildered looks from guests be damned...
Perfect first dance song. Come out with the face paint like Dakota Johnson lol
Thom yorke already sounds like one of those historically known musicians

When "Kid A" meets hell ! Truly a spooky number. Third most frightening song other than George Harrison "Circles" and the Exorcist , respectively.
And the Electrician by Scott Walker off the Nite Flights album by the Walker brothers
Okay I think I’m possessed now thanks Thom
This entire soundtrack was just as hypnotic as the original, if not more.
Imo both suspiria movies are pitch perfect in their own way. There is absolutely nothing I would change in both films.
Come on, Volk
