Can I just say that Stoick's funeral is one of the best executed funerals ever in cinematic history
Everything from the emotional weigth, the blame, the responsibility of him becoming chief, Gobber's speech, the setting, the animation, Hiccup reckoning with his identity to the funeral itself (my funeral would be a viking one if it were legal) just come together so beautifully. And the MUSIC, god, the MUSIIIIIIIIIIC.
All of these breaking moments are beyond incredible but that funeral man, DAMN

I feel like this is what James Cameron tried to do with Avatar the Way of Water. Spoilers inbound.
Jake and his family live happily in the forest for 10 years until the humans return to wreak havoc. Quaritch, his consciousness downloaded into an Avatar body of his own, seeks vengeance on Jake and Neytiri, forcing them to abandon their home and move out to sea. Two interesting new characters are involved, Kiri and Spider. Kiri is the offspring of Augustine's Avatar while Spider is a human who has adopted the ways of the Navi. The problem with the story is that instead of introducing new themes and threats, it rehashed what was done in the first movie, except it now takes place in the ocean.

How To Train Your Dragon 3 is my favorite sequel (or threequel, I guess), and one of my favorite movies of all time. When it comes to a second movie, Kung Fu Panda 2 is my favorite of all time. I'm just amazed at how well HTTYD, KFP, and Shrek were able to make their sequels feel like parts 2 and 3, and not just more.

Late reaction: As a pure movie Madagascar 3 is a bit mid, but it DOES do everything a sequel needs to do. New location, challenge the main characters, good villian, a moment of clarity and a good finish.
