The MyChron records the RPM data. I download the data into a spreadsheet. Then I measure the circumference of the two rear tires and take the average of the two values. I use this formula in my spreadsheet to calculate the speed: (Tire circumference in cm * 0.39370078740157 * engine sprocket teeth * rpm) / (axle sprocket teeth * 1056). Then I use the Race Render software to overlay the data on the video. Optional extra step; I export the video from Race Render with a solid blue background instead of the onboard video. Then I import that and the onboard video and the Race Render export video into a better video editor and chroma key out the blue background so that I can do some more in-depth editing than you can do in Race Render.
