- Today we're talking about Heartland's actress Michelle Morgan aka Lou Fleming. Every single one of these past weeks was great since we were fortunate enough to watch Heartland Season 15 finally. Everyone we love was ready and present in the new season, except for Ty, of course. And despite his absence, we still enjoyed the season more than the previous one as most of the characters were more joyful and ready to live life to its fullest.
Interestingly though, the first two episodes of Heartland Season 15 were highly focused on Lou as a character rather than the usual suspect, Amy. Although we have welcomed this slight shift since it is always nice to see other characters shine as well, focusing on Lou made us realize that she is not a very likable character.
We discovered that for many of the Heartland fans, Lou was among the characters that were disliked the most. Why though? Why the talented, successful, intelligent, and beautiful Lou Fleming is so unlikable?

There have been times when I have just loved Lou and other times when I couldn’t stand the whole show because of her. They’ve often made her too selfish. She has been too focus on herself, like caught up in having such a successful career, that she couldn’t see the beauty of being a mom and wife and importance of meeting the needs of her family. One final thought, please keep her out of the bed scenes, especially if she isn’t married. Kids are watching.

Amy is also sleeping with Ty before she was married to him, at his place, and Even in Jack's house! Don't like Amy, either. She is too stubborn and always does whatever she wants, even when told not to, regardless of danger. A poor role model for girls!
@@martykropf421 When Ty and Amy slept together was at the fishing cabin when Ty got sick. They had their clothes on. They took a nap at the trailer. Clothes on. When Amy was kicked by a horse. Ty was with Amy 24/7 because she couldn't see. Ty was there to protect her. Lou had Mitch climbing in her bedroom window. Ty and Amy didn't do anything inappropriate. I can't say the same about Lou.

The season that Jack hired Mitch as ranch hand. She made a comment that Jack had know right to hire him without talking to her first. Jack doesn't have to ask Lou permission who to hire. She forgets it is his Ranch not hers. So Bossy and self-centered. Only thinks of herself.
I actually hated Lou for what she did to Mitch.. Mitch is a great man and a true gentleman who loved her and she just broke his heart and used him and kept stalling and keeping him in the background and chose money over his love ❗
I hate her for what she did to Peter. I mean cmon you're not gonna reconcile with this hunk as he's as good as begging you. OMG I hate her
I find Lou's most annoying characteristic is her know -it-all attitude combined with her constant pushing for what she sees the best for her family. And there's the biggest Lou downfall -- she refused to move to a new home away from Heartland which was too crowded for her new family with Peter, Georgie, and Kitty cat.
Lou has a lot of narcissistic self-absorbed and controlling qualities - similar to her dad who is an all-out narcissist. The show is not totally true to his narcissism and you see it more on and off. But I guess they had to make him more likable. He totally used the women he dated - until his last one (which is not congruent with narcissism) and Casey was so smart to not marry him. However, Tim does show the charm and wit of a narcissist which is the only thing that keeps them likable and able to fool others.
Mitch,in the episode, "measuring up", told her that not everything is about you, is so right. She needs to get over herself. There are other people.
No I do like Lue, she has to always come 1st even at the dinner table, she wants everyone to stop talking and pay attention to what she has to say or what she want to do,and she isn't like Jack,she is just like her dad Tim,everything she wrote about him for her blog is her too ,and Scott would have been miserable with her

Lou seems like an air head. She spends more time meddling in other people's business than dealing with her own issues. Why not focus on learning more about herself vs.always trying to find another guy. What message is she giving her daughters? She is lucky to have such a loving family. Remember, her dad wasn't exactly the best role model for her.

She tells Jack to stop treating Amy like a child but she talks down to Amy. What Ty and Amy do is none her business.She also forgets Heartland is Jack's Property not hers.
The SHOW WRITER(S) make us hate Lou! The characters have the same flaws: insecurity, jealousy, self-centeredness. immaturity and competitiveness, especially Lou. Her good attributes are outweighed by her thoroughly annoying personality. Michelle Morgan is a very good actress. She should insist that they write her character better or leave.
Lou makes everything more complicated and irritating. She makes everything about her and overreacts to everything. Nobody can please her and she gets jealous of the other characters.
If you think about it, this show is about a shady family full of narcissists, thieves and liars.
Never heard of an Alberta family that gets shot as much as them, Tim got shot, Amy got shot, Ty died from being shot.
Cbc tries to present it as a family loving show, but if you look at each character you’d understand such is not the case.
Lou would have never become mayor and let’s face it, Peter would have left her in a heart beat.
Amy cheated more than once on Ty.
If you pay attention you’d see the whole show it’s about criminals pretending to be good people.

You are so right about everything you said. She was jealous of Amy and Ty and there real love. In real life. She don't know what real love is wouldn't now if it was right in front of her . I really don't like what she did to Ty she needs to applause on air to Ty for what she did to him. That why he's not on heartland because she and Tim told the rest of the actors to stay away from Ty. And Amy never stuck up for Ty at all. I wish they could fire Lue and bring Ty back in Season 16 and say Ty was in protive care because of the animals in Mongolia and bring him back to his family and live happy ever after. And end the show.

The reason I don't care for Lou is that she puts her career ahead of her child and is always pushing her off on someone to babysit while she puts her job first.
Amy is no different !!!! Runs in the family.
Lyndy is all over the place. Ty would never let Lyndy out of his sight. Poor chap, must be turning in his (proverbial) grave.
Remember Amy spreading his ashes so that his memories can be blown away with the wind and fast.
2nd Season and he is all but forgotten. We are already talking about the next guy in Amy's life !??!

Come to think of it, Lisa, a horse breeder of repute, owning her own ranch, is happy to be a high class maid/nanny on Heartland " for FREE " because of her love for Jack!!!!!
Ty and Amy were for FREE too while they were together. Twin foals ( some idiot went and bought a pregnant horse), Tim's horse, Lisa's horse just to name a few. While Ty did all the medical work, Amy gave psychological insight to a problematic horse. They could not afford a ranch or even build a house on land gifted by Jack. Amy went on a 4 months tour of Europe with Ahmed alone to be Ahmed's lucky charm so that she could earn the money for a ranch but all plans went down the drain because Ty wanted a truck. Ty was putting extra hours as a Vet, so much so Tim (of all the people) had to remind Ty that he is missing seeing Lyndy grow.
Lou ( both Georgie and Katie were left in the care of Jack, Lisa and Peter) and Mitch have tons of money! Selling beef, all within 6 months of buying a herd on a bank loan (and stationing them on "their" (????) small love ranch). Mitch bought diamond rings and a ranch( did he pay for the ranch or was the cost shared with Lou ?) for some fun time, a weekend retreat, home away from home all alone with Lou, no more jumping in and out of the window at night and getting shot in the butt) !
Poor Peter, was struggling to pay for a ranch bid for by Lou, which eventually burnt down due to his fault - he did not check the wiring. Despite being an oil guy and working hard to fend for his family, seems a ranch hand earns more in Alberta shovelling horse shit, changing bedsheets at the dude ranch and being the dirty secret of the granddaughter in front of her estranged husband ?!!
Life, sure is unfair on Heartland !!!
When she had Mallory babysit Katie when she was working. She was always late getting home and not even calling Mallory. She treated Mallory like her personal slave.

Elica Regina. I totally agree with you on this subject. You read my mind. And also with Lou shelf righteous,full of it never let anything go including Jack Bralette’s birthday too on the show and she doesn’t back of. I am not trashing her but I can see goodness in her that’s all.
I do not like Lou at all, 1. she is to bossy think she knows everything 2. When she's with a man she takes control of all her men 3 When she met Peter on first date didn't know him and gave him a big kiss ( seriously) 4. When she had Mitch he was the best one for her he really did love her but she used Mitch then dumped him to go back to a cheating husband 4. Lou should just stay single and take care of herself.
Here's the thing. Peter didn't start cheating until after they separated. At that point, he was not cheating. He was moving on because she wasn't doing anything to make it work.
All the things you've listed about lou are some of the things that irritate me about her. Add in that squeeky little girl voice when she wants soomething, her maneuvering when she wants things her way, the way she bulldozes over everyone in her way....she is ULTRA IRRITATING & I'D HAVE MUCH RATHER HAVE SEEN HER EXIT THE SHOW THAN TY!!!!!!

I love Lou's character, she is not petty. Excellent actress, plays her role very well. The show is not the same without her in some of the episodes. she makes it more exciting!! 🙂❤🌹👍

Vous ne pourrez jamais faire partir Lou de la série c'est la cousine d'Amber et dans la famille ils se soutiennent tous, mais on peu se demander combien de temps sa peu durer car la production a perdu beaucoup suite au boycotte des fans de Heartland, pour le départ de Ty S 14 et l'absence de Georgina S 15, ils ont pris un retour de bâton phénoménal, avec des centaines de milliers de perte de fans, et de revenus et surtout par les organisateurs des évènements des rodéos . Ils vont peut être réfléchir la dessus , même Amber est de moins en moins solliciter.

Lou over thinks everything and pisses everyone off not caring about those close to her. Lou is highly self centered just like Tim her Dad while Amy is more like Marion and Jack laid back and caring. Lou and Tim are alike and my two least favorite characters!
I would say Amy and Lou are two least liked. Neither, ever grew up, and lied in their relationships. Amy was always keeping stuff from Ty and it always was the cause of them breaking up.

Only started binging this show this past January. Without a doubt, Lou is obnoxious, insufferable and selfish. Her refusal to move to Vancouver for her family and marriage to Pete is what destroyed her marriage. I don't know how Peter put up with her for as long as she did. She has some good moments but overall, I can't bear watching the show sometimes because of her. The 2nd worst character is Tim.

I've liked Lou from the beginning . All the characters are great. The Jack and Mallory moments are my favorites
Lous character adds spice and another dimension to the show. Yeah she's very shallow and transparent and a bit immature. But her strong point is she always takes on too much but she makes it work. The worst character flaw that almost all the female characters have in that show is that the minute there's the least little bit of fight they just storm off. So many times Lou just keeps cutting her male companion off and not wanting to hear what he has to say and then just storms off. Amy always stormed off every time she was a little ticked at Ty. Ashley did it, Even Georgie was given that characteristic. It just colored the woman on heartland in a very bad light. It was always like anything the men had to say, they were always wrong. And instead of having a conversation they would just immaturely storm off. I know they're just characters but enough already of the men always being wrong and the heartland women just storming off and breaking up and forming their own ideas without an ounce of truth. The worst example of this was Amy was allowed to do whatever it is she wanted and just always expected Ty to forgive and understand but if Ty even looked sideways at something she would just end things and storm off🙄

Never been that crazy about Loom but never hated her. She's always about me me me and never really seems to try to work it anyting in a relationship, wanting everybody else to do all the work and do things the way she wants. I don't think she deserves anybody and her life since she's so selfish. You need to love yourself before you can love anybody else

Amen Zina. Talk about a narcissist. That is Amy’s character. She does everything she wants not caring what anyone else has to say and you don’t see her in the house helping out with cooking and cleaning. It is all on Lou…or Lisa.

No, Peter did not leave Lou. Lou left her husband and ran back to her childhood home. Then she accused Peter of leaving her. She consistently refused to move in with her husband and demanded that he move in with her.

I don't think the Series could go on without her. Don't take it to heart Michelle it's not your fault. You didn't write the script. No one works harder and can you just imagine in real home life everyone in the family inviting all these people over for dinner? You are a great actress. You have sold the part. Plus I get it. Your x boss becomes your Stepmother and uses your business to promote hers. I love the show and everyone in it. Together you all have made Heartland a great show. Love it, just the way it is. I do miss Ty and while we are at it I love Lisa as well. Plus everyone seems to forget in the end Lou usually apologizes because she recognizes her mistake. This proves she is a good hearted person. While we are at it, if Tim left the show would suffer a tremendous loss. The story isn't just about Amy and Jack. It is about the family and each member is very important to the continued success of the series.
Lou is selfish and only thinks of herself and does not even care who she hurts. It's time she gets hurt so she will know what it feels like. Peter must not have hurt her enough cause she cant let him go. She needs to be alone.
I hope she ends up with Peter. But I feel for him. She is not an easy person to live with. But they really love one another.
Agree hope to watch Heartland, but Peter seem to be a reasonable one because of his business savvy rather than this Mitch guy, that is manipulated by her. Mitch is like a rag doll to her and is evident. Peter would be a better stronger match for her in the series and family Value to the show.

Why nobody loves Lou??? 🙄Sorry, but there are millions of people who love her, including me. Amy is probably more selfish, she only ever thinks of herself. Lou is funny, has a big heart and always tries to please everyone, far too often she only thinks about others and not about herself. Yes, it also has its flaws, but everyone there has them. Peter was terrible how he treated her and always left her alone - yes, the way she treated Mitch sucked at times, but Peter always got in the way and Lou was always torn.

No, Lou is not petty. I, for one, have always liked Lou. She has a huge heart and always takes care of the family with no thanks. Amy is just spoiled and a grudge holder. Everything was always okay for her, but not for Ty. I say treat others the way you want to be treated. I like Amy, but she is far from perfect herself. Lou, on the other hand, has a huge heart. I think her true Love is Peter, not Scott. Peter’s problem was that he put work over everything else. What woman wants to be married to a man who is never there?? If the family would show a little appreciation for Lou, maybe she wouldn’t always be looking for other ways to be validated. The one big mistake the writers made on the show is that Peter and Lou should have had their own home. There was tons of land near Heartland where they could have built their own home, but somehow that never seemed to happened. Every man wants his own home. That part of the show is not realistic. But, overall we love the show because it is a very close nit family and there is a lot of love on the show. Plus, who doesn’t love horses?? Right?
I’m sad to say I agree with you about Amy - it took binge watching the first seven seasons to realize her self-centeredness and how mean Amy treated Ty. Lou does take care of the family, but it’s because she’s an insecure control freak and terrified of failing beyond matters of Heartland. Peter was supporting his family - why couldn’t she take the kids and move to Vancouver? 😊

The girls loved the horses and the family life they had at Heartland. Peter could have gotten a job anywhere. You saw his hideously sterile apt in Vancouver.. What child would want to grow up like that. I definitely agree that Lou is a major control freak. I guess you are born with certain traits. But Peter knew that when he met her and supposedly loved that about her. I just think the family does not appreciate her. Also, what do you think about Lisa? I love Lisa. She is another tender hearted person who is always willing to help. She oversteps sometimes, but if you are honest and kind with her, she steps back. Yes, Peter should have seen Lou's character, but no two people in the early stages of a courtship/relationship are thinking with their heads - as we all know. My Gram used to say: "Love is blind & marriage is the eye opener." I've commented once before that Tim is the balance for Jack - either of those two characters alone and it would be too sweet or too sour. Tim came up the hard way with little or no family guidance or support. In the end, there's a strong love/hate thing between Tim & Jack - they share a strong history and love for Marion. LISA IS THE BEST - I love her! She deserves much better than she gets at times from that family, including Jack. Lisa had to do all the sacrificing and plays second fiddle too many times. (I probably dislike Lou so much because she reminds me of how I was in my 30s - very controlling, totally focused on myself & not a nice person at all.) Have a great day! :-)

Peter is a much better character for Lou, he's self-sufficient and less tolerant than Mitch. Mitch seems like a CLING ON to her level.

Lou was born a Type-A personality, and those traits are still very much alive within her. However, I believe that after the horrific year the Heartland family and the township of Hudson has had, everyone, including Samantha Louise, has forever been changed. There will be more situations ahead in which Lou's self-centered streak will rise, nevertheless, she always ends up doing the right thing.
I think that Lou always feels unappreciated no matter what she does, regardless of all the hard work and sacrifices that were involved; therefore, she feels the need to give herself affirmations and a pat on the back, knowing that no one else ever would. She gets so into her own head and expects others to be right there with her, and then when she realizes that they are not, she is perplexed by why they wouldn't be?
Amy was extremely selfish and controlling as a teen. The way she played Ty especially (like a yoyo on a string), Caleb, Chase Powers (including her best friend Soraya), and Prince Ahmed, was straight out of the 'Selfish Girl's Handbook 101'. Amy was always surprised to learn that her selfish and manipulative ways actually offended anyone. Both Lou and Amy were/are very different people, however, they are both very strong, independent, willful, stubborn, and determined human beings. Lou has always been there more for Amy than Amy has been there for Lou. Even at those times when it appeared to be too much, Lou tries to make things right in the end.
Lou has always had a boyfriend/significant other/husband in her life from a young age. Season 15 is the first time in Lou's life that she is truly on her own without a man. She now needs to learn to navigate her life as a single woman, a single mother and find happiness, confidence, and freedom in this new status. The same goes for Amy as a single mother and widow. I believe that both sisters will continue to grow into beautiful women who make a difference in the world for the better. At least in their world. The future seasons will present a wonderful opportunity for the Flemming sisters to grow closer together if the writers are willing.
I like Lou I think she should end up with her first love Scott.He lives right in Hudson why not ?

Kippy Williams if this is part of the hole some part of heartland, I am glad that I quit watching . Between Amy’s constant betrayal of Ty and Tim’s very day bulling of every one. The throwing of Ty’s ashes into an unknown field sealed it for me.

Sharon Davenport do you not remember the chase be trail, the amid be-trail, the why she was so rude to Ty during the years from season 2 through season 12.. with chase didn’t she have over to the ranch to “help” her as she sent Ty away, then went on a date with him. It was her guilty that made it about Ty bushing Blair away.

Lou is a muddling mess, She cant do a damn thing on her own and imposes on other people to find her or success at the expense of other People. She is an emotional Basket case that meddles in everyone's business of what to do and yet her own personal life is a total failure. Yeah it sucks because she is playing a part. Thats i what i get of the part of Lou.

The character of Lou at least in my opinion is just basically immature and way too fickle. She thinks more about her love life going back and forth between men and pays more attention to that then she does anything else in her life. The actress is a good actress and very pretty but I do not like the character at all

Quanto os relacionamentos dela muitos fazem a mesma coisa,pois quando revejo as cenas de heartland, só assisto a parte dela com o Peter pena que não souberam aproveitar mais este casal que tinha uma família linda.
