    I did something similar when I built in two thousand five. I put the outside structure up in two thousand two and had a place to camp on one side and work on the other.... I put in all the electric, septic water communications first, poured my slab and then built the structure with what we call alaska wallpaper which is insulation/vapor barrier and hooked up bare runs for outlets.... worked another two years off the slab on one side and me and my two dogs lived on the other camping style. When we went after it, priorities in order, finished the shop complete and then did the house. I have to say it was all mine and beautiful.... a hair out of square but from your house you couldn't tell. I worked so hard to get it all. Two thousand six... I went over to a elderly gentleman's house and fixed his meals and swamped his shanty out .... take him shopping. I was 55 then. Him being in his eighties and were both vets, him korea and me was nam. On October first, a nice day and same routine, go do his place and play some cribbage. I was in the kitchen fixing for him and looked around to see no Ray anywhere in the house so go check... he's outdoors on a ladder that was in bad shape and cleaning a gutter. I asked him to come down cause it wasn't say and his retort was bulls**t, bounced on the rung and down he came! I caught all three hundred pounds of him. It tore a pocket on his shirt but I was hurt and bad... I woke up in the hospital with emergency surgery being scheduled for a serious broken neck for the first part and that they did. I still have the bicycle chain links and wood screws in my neck to prove it. I came out of that and couldn't move yet but not to worry, we will have you up n running soon. I went through five surgeries on lower back and have been going down hill since as I came out on crutches and then the cane and finally walking short distances... trying to work in my shop... its a really shitty story, but to keep going having to borrow to keep going, the bank owned the place on the first of january 2010 and so rented a house from my brother who passed last april, a month past his 70th birthday. I can't walk unless its on my arms next to counters or what ever i can find. I can't remember when I didn't hurt but do remember my shouse too. I will say good luck to you and it was fun watching this build... I just subscribed but you don't make money on me as I use a add blocker since this is my entertainment and place I set every day .... day after day and my legs are almost completely gone now. Take good care of the dog as their more company and never are a liar or thief. My ex has my first place and a chunk of money to hold her over till dead soon maybe but she was younger than me (a trophy wife)... I am seventy two working on trying to see seventy three. I just finally got me another dog that looks somewhat like yours cept he has some white spots... smart as hell and helps when he can with left overs an other stuff like remaking the bed so its comfortable for him during the day when he's in as its cold here right now. Take care youngster

    Hey dude! I came across your feed from the Yes Theory channel/groups!
    Your videos are awesome! What I love is that even though I can’t relate to this (I've never built a house - but I want to!), I still learned a lot and really enjoyed your videos (watched a few)! You have a shining personality and I’m almost sure thats what captivated me! I can't wait to see how this progresses!
    As for a bit on myself (my name is William!), I started making content with the aim of teaching people to break free of societal norms by seeking discomfort & testing their own limits! A few months after starting, my friends told me to check out this channel called Yes Theory as they said my content reminded them of it.. and like you, I’ve been so inspired by the lifestyle they preach!!
    Hope you have an awesome day and you are awesome, keep being you! 😁☝🏻

      Hey william! That is funny you found me through that channel. I watch so much random stuff on RUclips and leave my mark in the comment sections. Hoping to get more videos together soon. I'll check you stuff out then

    Give us an update on the shouse! It looks like alot of fun! you might want to look into making a mini batch plant for your concrete or not depending on your cost, the batteries in that lift are probably around 1000.00 so it looks like you did good on that 2100.00 purchase price, as for the dewalt lithium batteries, Ive never seen anything like them, I left a drill unused over 5 months and it still had a full charge! I started following you when you posted your bobcat 873 video, Im rebuilding one as we speak, I find your vids entertaining and informative, and you remind me alot of me. keep up the good work from Utah!

    This is an extremely interesting building. I wonder how a bank would look at it for mortgaging purposes? Also, how an insurance company would also look at it for insuring it. Is it considered a shop with offices or actually a shop with a residence? It is very unique. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this video. Love your stuff!

    • @PossumKing
      @PossumKing  4 года назад +1

      This is going to be a residence inside the pole building. Most banks would send you packing but there are a few. As for the insurance, I guess I'll find out soon. Haha.

      @@PossumKing Thanks for the info. The closest thing to your build are those Texas Barndominiums. They are combination residences and shops, often in separate buildings joined by patios. But many are combined. What makes yours pretty unique is the second floor. Personally, I think it is an exciting type of home to live in.
