  • Getting the house all closed up and livable before winter hit. Most of my footage was lost when my SD card broke but I was able to find enough clips to make some sort of video.

Hi Possum, missed you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Yeh, those SD cards go south usually because the controller fails. Video can be very demanding and they heat up and let go despite so-called safety features built in. Build looks good. Keep up the great work!

It physically broke in half. Very disappointed. Lost more than just Shouse videos. Took a few months but here I am back at it. Merry Christmas!

That sucks. I had a hard drive crash and it has a wallet with 20 bitcoins in it. Nice you still have the old equipment, love the 873 Bobcat! Crawler loader would have been a good choice to pull a stuck truck out.

My 955 isn't running right now. That dump truck would have pulled it out no issue if it was loaded. Proper communication would have helped too

Also I rather lose some video instead of bitcoin. That is a serious blow. Remember digital information doesn't last forever. Haredrives, SD cards.. they all expire. If you plan to keep something like that, you need a server with RAID options. backup the backup

@@PossumKing Thankfully it was only 200 dollars or so for those bitcoins, i was using them to buy hydraulic hose and fittings from China. My most important data is kept on optical disks stored in a vacuum sealed container. I lost all my old videos of me building my house and various projects in Hurrcane Andrew as the VHS tapes were flooded and corroded.
