She outshone everyone the night when it truly mattered most. I dont think she's a big risk at all. She is stunning, intelligent, warm, approachable. She has qualities that transcends beyond race, skin color, nationality. Im proud she's representing Philippines.

Chelsea is more than deserving. She didn't have a glam team, ; her mother and stepfather were her PA's, she had to look for dresses including finances because she didn't have much. She did her own make up with help of her parents and some MUPH people. She had basically one designer making most of her gowns -manny lanasan from Bulacan. She trains her pasarela on her own, w/o a trainor.

I don't think it's a gamble for the organization but a lesson for candidates not to quit just because they are not getting noticed. It's also lesson for sponsors to spread the awards to other delegates not just giving them to frontrunners. Pageant media will surely be careful next time in choosing their hot picks and fans will learn to stay humble and not bash the other delegates that they are not supporting. The biggest impact will be on those people bullied for their ethnicity and because of Chelsea's winning, they may somehow regain confidence in themselves.

IMO, the judges got it wrong in the top 5, Alexie deserved to be there. However, Chelsea as the winner, it was obvious - she delivered a right-on-point answer. The judges got it right in selecting Chelsea as the representative for the next MU.
Mr.J I don’t believe the MU Philippines took a gamble with Chelsea. She performed the best and outshone the front runners. Honestly I didn’t see her , didn’t even realize she was in the competition because there was so much noise around the other candidates that if you don’t pay attention you’re gonna miss her. But the organization knows what they’re doing, Chelsea performed and slayed everyone like a hurricane that started like a drizzle of rain then intensified and destroyed everyone in her vicinity.
