One thing I really enjoy about Noah and Mio compared to previous Xenoblade pairings is how the rest of the world still bears down on them as people. For them, the timeline of their lives hasn't gone away after they became Ouroboros, so they still have such a limitation in their mission.
This talk with Mio in particular was a big wake up call. They had been fighting Moebius and freeing Colonies that this issue hadn't been brought up till just now. And with how close everyone has been getting, it makes the reality hit even harder. Especially cause now, Mio really has grown to care about the entire group, not just her Agnian allies. So the knowledge that she'll someday say good bye forever must be such a terrifying prospect, even with two months to go.
This just helps me really enjoy the chemistry with these two. Even when Noah takes too long to understand, I like how he does acknowledge that he did.
But man, when it gets closer to time, you can see how much the two really mean eo much to each other.
