Viggo Mortenson and Ian McKellan truly owned their roles. Most characters in LOTR were amazing but those two had a way of acting with their eyes that just came through so well on screen
"He's one o' them Rangers. Dangerous folk they are, wandering the wilds. What his right name is I've never heard, but around here he's known as Strider."
To Aragorn I was bidden to say this: Where now are the Dúnedain, Elessar, Elessar? Why do thy kinsfolk wander afar? Near is the hour when the Lost should come forth, And the Grey Company ride from the North. But dark is the path appointed for thee: The Dead watch the road that leads to the Sea.'
"Sons of Gondor ! Of Rohan ! My brothers ! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me ! A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship. But it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the age of Men comes crashing down ! But it is not this day ! This day we fight ! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand! Men of the West !"
"I am Aragorn, son of Arathorn, called Ellesar, Elf-Stone, the Dunadan. Here is the Sword that was Broken, and re-forged again! Will you aid me or thwart me - choose quickly!"
Dúnedais could have played a much larger part in the movies, as well as Southern Men of Gondor, but then again we would have needed a five hour motion picture to explain it all, so... I'm fine with the little references we got.
i think a Movie about the fall of Arnor was Great an than the fall of the witchking of angmar ( Ilove the dunedain armor with here helms an shields (The fellowships Prolog you see Dunedain Soldiers)
Raven Strategist grew up with lotr and now I sometimes ask kids if they have seen the movies and they are like:"yea I heard of it but it doesnt really sound good" and im like wtf kid!!! These movies are part of your upbringing wtf??? How can you not have watched them!!??
…They had a vision as it were of a great expanse of years behind them, like a vast shadowy plain over which there strode shapes of Men, tall and grim with bright swords, and last came one with a star on his brow…

I wish the Dúnedain played a larger role in the films!
Agreed.
Becoming the king of Gondor is small role? :D
thats Aragorn, hes not the entire dunedain considering the ranger groups and other rangers that went with that helped the fellowship in the books
Tolkien was catholic, that's why the "little" hobbits are the real heroes of the books and movies, and not the strong warriors.
Sylvain Maurel totally agree. But they could've had a bigger role.

"I am Aragorn, son of Arathorn, called Ellesar, Elf-Stone, the Dunadan. Here is the Sword that was Broken, and re-forged again! Will you aid me or thwart me - choose quickly!"
this is phenomenal. the score for the battle at Amon Hen, when Aragorn rounds the corner and sees like 60 uruk-hai, is toooo underrated haha!

Very clear suitable to the theme of the movie

Great video !
Que buena edición, excelente
masterpiece
Epic!
So is this just a collection of tracks associated with Aragorn then? Does Aragorn even have a theme?
+OakenShield224 as he is one of the only Dúnedain shown in the movie, it is only related to Aragorn..
Unless you count the Men of Gondor or Arnor(prolong), but if not then no other Dunedain makes an appearance.
What are you inspired by and striving for?
Anyone else get real patriotic for Middle Earth?
#arnor
You forgot "strider" track
