Anamorphic lenses do make a huge difference though in my opinion.
Honestly I’m blown away by a $25 one I got from Aliexpress combined with a cheap $10 case for 17mm thread lenses. I think I’m starting to prefer shooting video on my iPhone than my Sony A7III!
Always looking to improve cinematography and you guys killed it with these shots. For my last short film I used the Beastgrip Pro rig, the Moment phone case with the Moment 58mm tele lens which is a beast and shot exclusively handheld as the story depicts experiencing anxiety.

Half of what you’re seeing is the leaves. They make a HUGE difference to making video look cinematic.

I’d love to see a video on how to properly edit/color grade iPhone 14 pro footage
With the right conditions, the iPhone really shines with the right cinematography and color grading. But as always, when there is a lot of contrast or not enough light, it's not so good. But it's a good solution if you have nothing else and want to capture some moments. It will not replace professional gear for now in my opinion, but it's a good starting point for a lot of people to learn and enjoy.

@@redjohn3741 the A74 is a beast. I have the a7r3, the A7s3, tried the fx3, I have no doubt that the a74 is the best compromise for photo / video work. Only issue for me is the 4k60 crop. I do a lot of video work and I want no compromises while doing my job. But the new color science is awesome 👌

Great shots. Technically it is not there yet, but it is getting closer and closer... On the screen of a phone it looks amazing, not that much on a bigger screen.
Really a good video 👍🏻 I have now the iPhone 14 pro max too and made my first two test videos (handheld and without an app) and I am very satisfied with the final results 😅 it is awesome what you can bring out on quality with a telephone 😂

Looks amazing. I’m just trying to get into filming well with my iPhone Pro Max. I was wondering, do you film and or edit in HDR. Ive found it really hard to get uploaded videos to look anything like as good as they do on the phone.
I dont but its definitely possible. You have to convert the color space in premiere. Loads of videos on RUclips of how to do that too!
@@moment Oh, I’d rather not :) I wondered becuase your video looks great and wondered if it had been done using an HDR workflow. I feel like it’ll be easier, and look good on more people’s RUclips, if it didn’t rely on HDR

I own a 13 pro and I think the 14 has more sharpness, it’s a pity considering that it should ne an upgrade.

I was on a Murf electric bike and one handed a zhiyun m2s gimbal. It was a little sketchy but makes the shots way more dynamic.

Great video. Amazing shots. Too bad about the vignetting with the anamorphic specifically. You can noticed a decent amount in some shots but I assume you cropped for the others? Or is it not quite as bad with the Pro vs the Pro Max?
