Hey, Strell great content man, love the straight forward and no bullish idea of motoring. Just a quick question, I am having issues finding a good rear tire. Can i swap the rear tire of my Hness with that of the RS ( since its a 17 ' and these bikes are fundamentally the same). Will I face any issues on downsizing the rear?
      Thanks!

CB350 Highness owner here since eight months and the engine on this motorcycle is an absolute charm. I mean, the bike is absolutely smooth right from the first gear and the fifth gear makes it completely vibrations free. Sometimes I ride wearing flip-flops and still feel no vibrations on the foot-pegs! Another charm is the clutch - it is so light!!! Third huge deal is the mileage. I hate the brakes though and of course the headlights. Overall it's a lovely machine. I hope Honda launches a twin cylinder bike like Highness❤

Finally someone understood the character of this engine. For ppl who rev the nuts out of this engine and end up saying this bike lacks character and feels boring, you don't really get it! It's a torque-rich experience. Only difference between this and RE is that you shift a little later on the Honda due to its taller gearing.

    • @sudhanshusingh6115
      @sudhanshusingh6115 10 месяцев назад +9

If it has shorter gearing and torque lower down then it would be a torque rich experience. Right now if you wanna go fast you rev the nuts which I love doing, if you wanna chill and enjoy a great sound go easy, high gear low revs and it is such an enjoyable experience despite the dearth of torque lower down.

@@deathbybassofficial there is substantial difference in bottom end torque and also in 5th gear top speed. I used to ride the classic 350 before and I feel bottom end torque on hness is better , provided you switch off hstc.

I think one of the best thing about this bike for me is its weight distribution. I am partially handicapped due to injury on my right leg so I used to ride only smaller capacity bikes. I tried going with Classic 350 and hunter but I wasnt feeling confident with those bikes. Tried Honda highness and got it booked it the next day. Inspite of it being around 180 kg, the bike feels like a 100 cc bike. Even if you're a beginner, you'll feel confident while doing a U turn. This is something that made me buy this bike. They have done a great job with this bike and all the cb350 models.

While I won't face the same challenges as you, this is my opinion: The bike itself is extremely well balanced. I only really feel the weight when trying to manoeuvre a tight parking spot. I would say that confidence can be built up and there are techniques and methods that you can use to manage the bike in slow traffic or starting/stopping. Japan / Honda has a lot of attention to detail, unlike RE Super Meteor for example, the aesthetics is so consistent, no mismatching matte & glossy, no chrome mismatched with brushed aluminum, no tacky stickers and branding... Absolutely beautiful. I just wish India did more 500-650 segment bikes... I've outgrown 300s... Even Jawa 42 is beautiful, but too low segment for my liking. Great review!

I bought hness cb350 last week and had test ride of this classic cb350 too. The major difference is
-hness has that thump sound which lacks in this classic cb350
-hness has slightly tall seat height than this and hness has extra ground clearance than this too.
-all colours look attractive in hness cb350 but only black and matt grey looks good in classic cb350.
-if you want good thump sound, a high power (due to lower weight of hness as compared to classic cb350) , less weight and look go for hness cb350 .
-if you want bulky and classic look ,little more weight and lower ground clearance then go for this classic cb350.

      I owned a Unicorn , then a Thunderbird for 10+ years and now a Honda CB350 (clocked 1500KM as of now) .
My verdict is Honda Cb350 as i was looking for better engine refinement , lesser vibrations, better service experience and most of all reliability. Honda ticked all the boxes for me.
I would not consider a Honda CB350 ONLY IF there is no Bigwing dealer ship nearby. In every other scenario this is better than a Classic 350 (Even the latest Classics which are much better than my 2008 model Thunderbird)

Depends on what you want to do with the bike?
If you want to commute within city and occasional highway and you don't plan to invest so much time in acquiring riding skills then modern 160-200cc (15-25bhp) class is good for you.
If you think you can spend time to learn skilling up then you look for modern 400+cc segment (40+bhp)
If you into retro bikes you know where to look at

Actually all retro classic looks are similar back in those days. If jawa was made bulkier even that would look like RE. Honda is a league ahead of RE nt even deservered to be compared with it.
