    I have a 98 crv and I’ve bought a 3 inch adjustable strut kit but then went and bought a 3 inch lift kit as well. As the struts are adjustable I figured it just gives a bit more wiggle room for what height I need it for I’m often up the forest with the trailer driving in to chainsaw wood for the trailer plus as well I got my Honda stuck up on a low cut tree stump in my front paddock that needed to get dragged off with the tractor. I MEAN I WAS STUCK STUCK FOUR WHEELS OFF THE GROUND STUCK. Getting the front end kit as well upper and lower control arms all the ball joints tie rod ends

    Will yal be making a 6” lift for the crv? I seen beefies video An the wheel set up running 32-34’s would be nice but with a 4” lift that wouldn’t be enough clearance would it? Sorry new to this lift world I come from drop land lol An just got my first crv An wanna give it a aesthetic look but also if I need to get off road Illbe able to on My daily commutes also I understand this made for off roaring dirts but as well as driving from point A to B is there any crab walk upon driving ?

      @@hrg_tv yes those step in the video will work with 3" and lower but I had struggles getting it back on. Especially if your shock and springs are new

  • @IkarosCanFly
    @IkarosCanFly Год назад

    Heavier springs are cheaper to manufacture than decent shocks so companies make up for their cheap shocks by putting higher spring rates on their struts and that's why most cheap aftermarket struts lift your car over the OEM ones. This results in a rougher ride as well. Springs are only meant to hold the weight of the vehicle. The shocks do all the dampening.

    Is a adjustable rear toe arm not needed for this 4” lift? Did it need to be alignment at all for the rear toe arm? Or can it just be put back to same spot

    • @CheeZyNutZ

      Once you take suspension apart even to replace one part youll need an alignment on any car.

    • @hrg_tv
      @hrg_tv  2 года назад

      you can install small strut spacers without the subframe drop. Once you lift over 2 inches, you have to install a subframe drop. This kit does not affect ride quality

      Even if they show it off road, I bet it will only be on a slightly bumpy dirt road, nothing serious. I push mine to the limit, and I would not trust these spacers on the trail. I would love to see this rig tested in extreme conditions like Pismo Beach or Moab.

    • @clintontong1018
      @clintontong1018 Год назад

      @@badakim2086 Yeah i've also looked into LSD but after seeing how they perform off road, I dont think its worth the investment. Think most people go with a more aggressive clutch pack for the rear wheels to engage faster but aside from that we would have to invest more money in swapping the drive train for something more sturdy. Guess I will just stick to soft roading for now until I have more money to invest in something better for off roading

    Don’t put larger tires on your first gen crv unless you want to seriously reduce the life of your transmission. I put mine through hell on steep trails and logging roads in BC. Larger tires simply will NOT help the performance. I tried going to a 215/70r15 and the radiator was way hotter going downhill in the city than it’s gotten climbing logging roads in 2ft of snow. Sure lift it, but stick with 205/70r15s.

    • @CheeZyNutZ
      @CheeZyNutZ 2 года назад +4

      You say your radiator got hot but are talking about tranny issues so im going to assume you have an automatic. Heat is the #1 killer of automatic transmissions. A $35 tranny cooler will solve your problem. Dont forget to add extra tranny fluid to compensate for the added cooler.
