I just got my HRG 6” lift/3” subframe drop and my question is this. Are the strut extension spacers supposed to be 3”? Will that 3” spacer plus 3” subframe drop equal the 6” lift?
I need to lift mine so as to be able to get in it! I’m 70 and getting in and out is the only thing I hate about my accord. 2” lift blocks would make me a happy man!
With 2 in you can get away with it but I would recommend still doing a subframe drop if you're going to keep the vehicle and want to get the best longevity out of it.
😅 sorry about that my man I probly didn't fully look at the video before I Uploaded it 😂 I will watch it and see if I can go over it and make it better version of it!
@@crv_tom Its all good mate, i learned a lot from what there was in the video, nice explaining, so dont remove it :) im thinking about lifting a smaller car, do you know anything about european brands like Peugeot or VW and which has the better track records of not breaking down?
That's funnier than hell you're not the first person to say that I've literally accepted it now 😂 but honestly I have not done a Crosstour myself but I can tell you if you can get a hold of hrg they have done one and could definitely help you out
You should be fine you shouldn't need anything else with that low of a lift with everything stock you should be able to still make the adjustment, of course some camber kits would probably help dial it in a little bit better but you'll be okay with the stock stuff.
Hi, Great Video as always, I asked a question on your other video about a 1-inch lift spacer in the front and a 1.5 lift spacer in the rear for my 04 CRV. However, with the lift spacers does this mean the front will be lifted 1.5 to 2~ inches and the rear will be lifted 2.5 to 3~ inches am I understanding this correctly?
Yes that is pretty much how it will work if I am not super efficient at explaining this who is much better at this than me is Ben from hrg or Jake they can explain it very well.
I do not make the kits it is hrg engineering that makes the kits and as far as I know I believe that is something they are looking to do in the future.
Any thoughts or guidance regarding a 2017 HRV LX front wheel drive? Looking to put on a hitch for a small trailer and was concerned about the added rear weight. My thoughts were the rear lowering too much and or in turn causing the front end to rise. Since it's a front wheel drive I worry about possibly losing some control and or traction on the front wheels while under load on the rear. Not looking to tow thousands of lbs but wanted to pre compensate the rear for the load. Maybe it'll be ok without, just thought I'd ask. I've considered slightly lifting the front and rear to allow larger, not so low profile, tires as well. Been scouring different sites and really haven't found any lifting advice regarding any of this with my vehicle. Thankyou for doing this segment.
I honestly think you'll do just fine and you don't have to worry too much as long as you drive responsibly you should have much of an issue but one thing you could look into is a stiffer spring if they offer one for the rear end or possibly a mild lift front and rear and then add a stiffer strut and spring.
Hey, I had a few questions if and when you get some time to answer. 1. I have a FWD 2001 Cr-v do the spacers have any negative effects on the rear without the cv shafts for reinforcement? 2. I’m looking to purchase ASR spacers 1.5/2.0 inch lift. Will I need to modify anything after adding these spacers I see some conflicting information about subframe drops on HRG. The whole idea behind the lift for my Cr-v isn’t for off-road ability it’s more to allow ample room for general grabbers at2 215/75r15 to try and give me some clearance for the yearly mild/moderate flooding that is a part of living in Houston. Not trying to turn it into a flood buggy just trying to add a little “assurance”.
With that size spacers you will be completely fine you will not need a supreme drop as long as you don't grow any bigger than that. Having a front-wheel drive will not make a difference and how the spacers will perform so you'll be good to go.
@@crv_tom thanks for the answer. Hopefully everything goes smooth with the lift. It’s a good little car it will feel a lot better to relax driving that on rainy days instead of my lowered civic.
Hi r you I have a 2014 Scion xB I have struts in in front of it Iam 4 lift kit & spacer in steel 2 I want to put lift kit all around do no u no makes it
Hey absolutely sorry about that this is a much older video and I plan on going through my whole RUclips and doing a revamp soon a lot of things have changed so got a lot of updating to do but it just takes time
Seth Rogan knows what he's talking about
😂😂😂 you don't know how many times I've been told that man that's funny I need to start getting paid like him LOL

Everyone slams Honda's, but it only takes a unique special group of people to lift Hondas. :)
just the right comment i was looking for god tier
I want to raise not lower my Honda 😅
Hey, well, that's what's great there is an avenue for pretty much anything you want to do with your Honda.
You explained the front one but how about the rear one for example the 8th generation the rear one isn’t like those
As far as the 8th gen I have not been able to get my hands on those or personally work on them so I would not feel comfortable saying much about them.
I need to lift mine so as to be able to get in it! I’m 70 and getting in and out is the only thing I hate about my accord. 2” lift blocks would make me a happy man!
Depending on your year Accord you may have them you would have to take a look at his website.
Will I need anything else for 2 Inch spacers I’m simply trying to run a 235/75r15 on my 02 crv for clearance
With 2 in you can get away with it but I would recommend still doing a subframe drop if you're going to keep the vehicle and want to get the best longevity out of it.
I’m a bit new to this what’s a subframe drop going to do for longevity?
I got the tires on no rubbing but just want a bit more clearance, what do you think a shop will charge to have them install 2 inch lift spacers?
Wait WHAT? :D i was completely engage in the lesson, and then you just leave me hanging to take a phone call! wtf dude! :D

Thanks Seth Rogen! Would lifting a Honda Crosstour with 3 inch spacers require extended control arms or any other additional parts?
That's funnier than hell you're not the first person to say that I've literally accepted it now 😂 but honestly I have not done a Crosstour myself but I can tell you if you can get a hold of hrg they have done one and could definitely help you out
They should make a spacer u can just stack on top of another one so u can lift it as much as u want
You could bolt them together if you wanted to I wouldn't recommend it but you could.
Our streets get flooded when it rains so I would like to lift a civic
Question.....What else is needed to lift? Can I do 1.5 inch spacers on a gen1 crv without anything else like adjustable arms, camber bolts?
You should be fine you shouldn't need anything else with that low of a lift with everything stock you should be able to still make the adjustment, of course some camber kits would probably help dial it in a little bit better but you'll be okay with the stock stuff.
This might sound crazy but I want to lift my CRV 3 inches and this is the first video I came across.. we’ll see. Great video!
I want to lift my 09 accord
Any chance you could tell me if the Honda rescue garage spacers fit an ef hatch?
They have some take a look at their website at hrgoffroad.com
Can I use a 3in strut lift on a completely stock frame and front end ??
At that point I would recommend a suffering drop.

Why don't you make Honda fit lifts

I don't know if it even matters, but I forgot to mention my 2017 hrv is a 6 speed manual transmission. Thanks again.

Love the vid, when you lift a civic do u do the same size on front and rear or do you use different sizes?
Different size for the front and rear
Can’t seem to find what type of strut is best. Have you ever tried the old man emu stuff?
I have never tried their struts but I have tried their Springs and they are good stuff

Hope you enjoy it!
They make a 5/5.5 lift for a 2012 odyssey exl
Who does?

Hrgengineering.com is where to fine them!
@@crv_tom I looked on there but I didn’t see those metal ones that go on top of the strut .
HRG has the metal ones but I'm intrested in the alum. Ones, they look much easier to install. Do they had fior front and rear applications?
Tema their called
