The Mad Max game is one of my favorite open-world games to date
Yeah same, but the game world is quite small...
It was a really good game, sucks it bombed financially. They released it the same day as metal gear solid 5 and that was a bad idea.
@@MyNEO123456789Its bigger than RDR2 and only slightly smaller than GTA5, so I wouldn't exactly call that "small". Sure there are bigger open-world maps but it's certainly bigger than San Andreas, and that map was massive at the time.
It's only $5 right now in the PS store. Just bought it
Did anyone else see that segment of the previews where Deadpool and Wolverine were telling the audience to silence their phones? I died laughing the entire time!
Yep just got home from the movie. It was a hella fun time.
and it didn't work.. There was some idiot talking punjabi and calling people on his phone for the entire movie, loudly, to the point multiple people were complaining. The cinema didn't do anything... Probably too scared they would be called racist or something.
It was actually really corny and not that funny at all
@@Diamond_tip Your opinion
Witness me Sean!
You are one of the only reviewers who I trust.
Yes, BUT, always form your own opinion. ;)
@@berrevanriest7686 Hard to form your own opinion when you haven't seen the movie yet, I watch reviews to decide if I'll watch a movie, if it gets bombed, im probably gonna dislike it aswell.
Yes go to him first!

I am seeing this tomorrow I can't wait I love road warrior and fury road and this seems in the vein of those two
Ngl this is the best review I’ve seen of the film. Everything else only compares it to fury road but you listed what it was and let the viewer decide if it’s for them
My most anticipated movie for the rest of the year (well tied with Joker and Kinds of Kindness). But watching it tn and I cant wait!
What’d you think
I’m seeing this tomorrow and I can’t fucking wait
I watched the movie already 🎉😊 good movie ❤it
I havent seen the original Mad Max series but watched Fury Road. Would I need to watch the originals for this one?
No. If you watched fury road you will be good.
No, I haven't seen Furiousa. But honestly, the further the series went on, the less important it became to watch the others.
Still recommend the old movies, but they're not required.
The new Mad Max movie is essentially a soft reboot of the original trilogy. You don't need to watch the original trilogy to understand this one, but it's definitely worth watching the original trilogy. Personally, I really like "Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior" and "Mad Max" (1979), and I would still rank them higher than the new ones.
No. Fury Road and Furiosa are the only Mad Max films which are connected in a meaningful way. The rest are all basically stand alone films
@@y6ace It's more a soft reboot of the Road Warrior. The original Mad Max had Max married with a kid and a day job.
Oh man. I’m glad you liked it. This is probably this year’s most anticipated for me, alongside Dune. Fury Road is among my favorite films and I hope this is at least half of what that film was.
This was action packkedd
It could be recency bias or bias for anything Anya Taylor-Joy touches, but Furiosa is actually my favorite
I mean, shawty is making moves in the industry and she’s crushed every single project she’s been a part of, how could one not be biased towards her work.
Same!
Great short review. Thanks, Sean.
Oh what a day. What a lovely day 👍
Amazing movie
This is why I never trust reviewers. They're just cheerleaders.
I wasn’t big on Fury Road so I have no idea what to expect for this movie
😦
it’s a lot better imo
sounds like it truly is a "Saga". very excited for this. you mentioned "big gigantic stunts", are there any practical effects in this at all? it's obviously relying on CGI but were there any practical effects (if you could tell)?
Nobody is gonna talk about that Ballas gangsta guy in the background?
Personally I thought it was closer to Miller's original crazy style.
What a lovely day Sean! Btw, without spoiling, does this movie have a post or after credits scene?
Not really
The hole point of mad max is thst there storys being told in this new waistband thats why things add up (thats my theory)
Not a movie guy but I seen the last one and I'm pretty excited for this one
This, this is the moment hiesien truly burged
Visuals weren't distracting and don't get your critiques on character ages this movie was amazing you be nitpicking those aspects
There’s no age issues, when the film ends (not counting THOSE scenes) there’s still 7 yrs until Fury Road. The only character with an age problem is Max, he should be exactly 69 during the events of Fury Road, but he’s not. This is because Mel Gibson decided to step down, etc.
Better than fury road!
Dude has made no attempt an any consistency at all in his stories. He’s made it a point to say he isn’t trying to. I will give it a shot, but it just is what it is because the creator said so.
Would you recommend this film to someone who has never seen any of the Mad Max movies?
No
Watch fury road first
👍👍👍
I’m wanting to take a friend to see this but he’s only seen the first Mad Max film, do I need to make him watch Fury Road before we go and watch Furiosa?
You probably should watch Fury Road before this one. Might be interesting to watch furiosa first
1. Glamrock Freddy
2. Orville
3. Nedd bear
4. Bonnie
5. Eclipse
6. Withered Freddy
7. Glamrock Chica
8. Roxy
9. Ballora
10. Nightmare Mangle
If I could change the list:
1. Glamrock Freddy
2. Nedd bear
3. Orville
4. Eclipse
5. Bonnie
6. Withered Freddy
7. Glamrock Chica
8. Roxy
9. Ballora
10. Nightmare mangle
Bad ass movie 👍🏽👍🏽
Do you need to see any of the previous films to watch the movie?
Fury Road only
Will you do a George Miller ranking soon?
Nope
I'm sure he'll do a mad max ranking
@@luketan2237 Correct
Wait in the end you said there were some bad visuals effects?
What is the question?
@@SeanChandlerTalksAboutdid the movie had some bad visual effects?
@@adamcade604 They were never bad, but it doesn't have the same amazing practical effects as Fury Road. It relies a lot more on CGI
How do you ask what the question is when a clear and concise question was asked?
@@Lazareth8008s It reads to me as a statement but with a question mark instead of a period. I don't actually know what he needs clarification on. He repeated what I said.
But where is Max?
Chillin
Not a huge fan of Fuey Road so I'll be going in with high but not insane expectations
A Mad Max Saga ..........without Mad Max😂
Fury Road was a crazy masterpiece, this one was good but not great sadly
It was great, it’s just not close to fury road
Fury road was a series of storyboards as it was just one long chase scene. That's why it worked. It was the simplicity of that decision.
Furiosa is not that . When you slow all this stuff down and try to go behind the scenes. You don't need to see all that. Less is more
@@kev30631 I agree, but they’re extremely different and imo it’s hard to compare. Fury road is just in a league of its own and I think that it being a perfect movie causes people to view furiosa to be at that level but it’s not meant to be
Quit throwing the word Mad Max if he is not in the movie. That’s why it flopped.
It was a fine action movie and definitely in line with what we expect in terms of quality standards. However it’s not as good as Fury Road.
Not many movies are. And it was more than fine it was great, personally
It’s still pretty great
I bothered by a mad max movie with no Mad Max.
Hard pass.
I was not a fan of this movie
Naw I’m good sick of the bait n switch with male franchises so another on bites the dust sad
who cares if it's male or female characters? Plus this isn't even a bait and switch, furiosa is a big character in fury road. It's not like it's a mad max reboot with max as a female. Just enjoy the movie for what it is, a backstory of furiosa set in the mad max universe.
Mediocre
I see what u did there 😂
This didn't age well lol
These new ones are not that good. Only the first two with Mel Gibson are good other than that.
🧢
The new ones are really good, but I still personally prefer Mel Gibson's Mad Max

This is one of the weirder internet pivots. Suddenly people are turning on Fury Road with some revisionist history
@@SeanChandlerTalksAboutyeah, let’s all just pretend that Fury Road is somehow overrated
