I love this set, bought it for my son for Christmas 2022. The crane car, the fork lift, the logs, the pallets, the switching traffic lights, lots of playability. I like it more than the 2022 one.
To be honest, ALL of the Lego City cargo trains are just amazing. You get so much track, a crane of some form, quite a decent amount of rolling stock along with a unique locomotive. And it even comes with some sort of vehicle. That's it. I need a Lego Cargo Train. That was my childhood dream and still is. I am saving up for it.
Saw your build stream and that bank truck caught my eye, and I was able to snag one online from someone who parted out their set. I love your channel and love being a member. Thanks!
In the eighties I got that red 12V train for my birthday, really cool. But then they switched to the 9V system and all new trains weren't compatible. Last year I got this train, ordered some extra battery boxes, and rebuild my red train so that I can use it along with this cargo train at the same system, both via bluetooth. Pretty cool I think :).
as much as i love this set and would talk endlessly on how much i want one, i cant help but notice that you are the first youtuber to get the buffers correct on the train! normally i see ppl put the ploughed buffers on a random wagon as if they dont care, its great to finnaly see someone pay attention to such a detail! :D
Have you seen the forklift that comes with Lego city set 60169 its kinda the same design as the one in that set but its wheels are more designed to go in a warehouse
cargo trains click when going along the track and sometimes it's the track and sometimes its the train growing up in Pennsylvania in a warehousing and factory area where trains were common you hear the clicking 5 time a day at a community pool or at its park or just driving
I have the 2014 cargo train it was my first real lego train set so I like that one a lot more then the new one. The new one is ok but if a farm animal is included it is automatically my favorite which you get a cow in the 2014 cargo train set. The 2018 passenger train was my first passenger train set really great train also. Those are the only trains I have so far.
The little suggestion when you’re playing with your green free train set Lego I would recommend like hooking the crank her up to the its rails that way it’s secured

I think both steam and diesel complicated to drive, but steam has more trouble to drive with steam pressure to look for. With diesels you don't worry about that. As for the stop you showed. Those are called "buffers" which they do what you say. Also that nothing if lego would create the famous Royal Hudson steam engine you have up in Canada.
I had the same issue with mine at Xmas, I found I'd got the battery box the wrong way round, though yours looks fine. I'd check the instructions to make sure.

I like this train I need to get this before it discontinues. I want this to go along with the cargo train I have from 2014. I assume they will release trains in 2022 because they do trains every 4 years. I like cargo trains better than passenger trains. I do have the passenger train from 2006 and it's a cool train, but I don't think I will get the 2018 one, however if they do trains in 2022 I will definitely get the passenger train remake as well as the cargo train. What about you? Do you preferer passenger trains or cargo trains? Are you going to get the 2022 city trains if they make them?
I always wanted a lego train when younger but they were always so expensive. I may have to get one now I'm an adult and can buy things :D I also have a OO (HO) scale model railway, i'd make a lego one instead but don't think would be any cheaper :D

the coupling is supoesed to be on the rails its like a snow plow or if and block is there s it doesnt derail

Mines just as squeaky as yours, the front coupler is grinding the track, your right in that it needs lifting half a stud. Any ideas?

It really is. I hope LEGO makes a rechargeable Powered UP battery box like they did with Power Functions. Just to give us the extra freedom.
You can run it off a phone or tablet, Halfs the batteries.
Anyone has suggestions for rechargeable batteries that run at 1.5v, which these trains require. I can’t seem to find any that are reasonably priced.
