Level 1: Jazz to Fall Asleep to Level 2: Jazz to Eat a Nice Dinner to Level 3: What Music Would Sound Like if it Started to get Frustrated Level 4: Fire Hip Hop Beat Level 5: Math Rock Level 6: Mathcore Level 7: Wait... something's a little off. Whatever it is, let's keep it off. What is this feeling of transcension??? I gotta have more... *this is a musical drug.*
being myself a jazz influenced harmony (guitar) musician, i have to say i do not find digestible or enjoyable levels 3 and above, with the exception of 7 which is quite simple with the adding of microtonal tuning and just sounds lofi gorgeous.
I personally feel like the advanced jazz harmony just doesn't work well with the pop song that's being sung. It's like one part of my brain is grooving to the pop song, and the other part of my brain is being stimulated by the interesting harmonies, and then those two come together and just don't mix well, and thus, it sounds very weird, in a not very enjoyable way. I probably would enjoy the harmonies in isolation or in a different context, though. But I do find it interesting how level 7 just loops back to something that's enjoyable.
@@Mercure250 I see bro. It's very interesting how we react neurologically to music, when i listen to JS Bach (Poliphonic works usually) i keep on making variations of counterpoint in my head

Adam, please do this for Both Sides Now, taking us from Joni's original to Herbie Hancock's version on The Joni Letters. Thx for everything.
You should've had it gone straight one to the next instead of the pause in between.
