When I am making corn on the cob for a large group of people, the easiest way is to chuck all the corn and put it all in a large chest cooler, then pour a large pot of boiling water over it and close the lid. In about 20 - 30 minutes, your corn is all ready to serve.
Agghh but what about all the plastic toxins that will leach into your corn. Hot foods should never be cooked in anything plastic - not even in the microwave. No condemnation at all but a lot of ppl just don’t know how toxic plastic is when combined with hot food.

Susan. I am sorry for your loss. I could feel your sorrow when you spoke of her. My mom passed over 20 years ago and I still do the same. I still speak of her often to keep her memory alive. God has her but I have her memory until we meet again. Hope this blesses you.
As someone with food allergies it is SO GREATLY APPRECIATED that you are conscious of others allergies and intolerances. It makes our time during that event much more enjoyable. All the thank yous!!!

Every family has their problems
Unfortunately, They don't ever talk about it but they are a God centered family. Becky's dad has a channel with daily devotionals. Please know that if you invite God into your life you will have the love your loving for.

@@beckywtube God also promises us trials to conform us to His image. I appreciate that Becky shared her need for anxiety medicine and counselor. I think the medicine, maybe I don't remember correctly, but definitely counseling. Good to see the honesty, helps all us!

Years ago my family would get together and go camping in Southern New Jersey to celebrate my dad's birthday. It started when he turned 50. We weren't anywhere near as organized as you are, nor did we have fancy equipment like a Blackstone.
We were all tent campers back then. Such good times and memories! We called our group camping Campfest.
I love how your mum gives all of the details. It helps create an image of what you’re making.
The aluminum pans are also good for cold things ,just put a layer of ice on the bottom and your second pan on top with your food to keep from getting warm great for salads watermelon and things like sour cream or mayo then invert another pan on top makes a small refrigerator
I love that you and your mom work so well together. What fun to organize and meal prep as mother/daughter!
Family camp outs are always fun!!! Some of my best memories are from family camping both as a child and then as an adult with our kids. I hope your trip was overflowing with fun and you, Josh and your little one start creating a treasure chest of memories to look back on and treasure.

I love it so much that y’all get together like you do. I am allergic to a lot of foods so I think is so sweet that you are trying to accommodate your aunt. My sister does the same thing for me. I am so sorry about the loss of your Grandma. A celebration of her life is such a special blessing for those that couldn’t attend. I am sure y’all will have the best time all together.

Personal chefs use those storage bins when they are cooking for a croud. They bought ice containers from Amazon that fit in them perfectly & use them as mini refrigerators. Pretty awesome. Culinary Misfits for one. Great channel, BTW

Seriously, right? To be able to be in an environment where cooking was happening that wouldn't send me into a horrible panic attack would be such a gift. It's so surprising to me as someone with a lot of trauma associated with food security to see how easy it could be to cook for a lot of people when you have more than one person involved in the planning/cooking process. For some of us, some things have to be learned through actual experience.

Growing up, we'd pile 7 of us in the truck camper & meet up with extended family for 1-2 weeks at a time. My mom prepped lots in advance. She cooked the pasta, made meatballs & the hamburger patties, fried some chicken, made sub sandwiches & cucumber salad for 1st day & more, including iced tea concentrate. It's ingrained in me to prep so that camping meals are easier with less clean up! Also- try the Bitchin Sauce in Original flavor. It's not as spicy❤

Isn’t crazy how many food allergies that we have to work around these days? This was almost unheard of when I was growing up. Maybe people had allergy issues, but doctors didn’t know what to do at that time.

If you add oil to the cooked pasta, that will keep the sauce from adhering to the pasta. Just toss cooked pasta with enough pasta sauce to coat, put foil over to keep warm. Or you could keep pasta and sauce warm in a Crock-Pot.😊❤

I have had so many issues with the plastic lids that come with the aluminum pans. I buy aluminum flat lids and aluminum half sheet pans from Sam’s (separately) and they work amazing. They have tabs on the sides that make them stay on better
Your moms house is just amazing. I would love it if you could give a quick tour of your mom's garden some time. She had a real neat looking dome that goes over her raised bed for bad weather. I would love to know more about it.

I used to be in charge of our 20-30 person camping trips from years ago. This was like a memory walk in time. Love your videos and love your mom! She is a sister from a different mother when it comes to meal and prep planning for large family gatherings. God bless you and your family.

Would you consider making the whipped cream at home, freezing it in a zip bag. At time of serving, snip bottom corner of bag and squeeze to serve. Maybe stabilize whipped cream with some gelatin. I’ve done this for large groups, but never tried it camping.
it’s hard for me to watch you cooking with your mom, since I lost my mom to a fire at 8 yrs old and wished I had a sweet mom to cook with, but love some of the things I have learned from you. When I go camping, one of my favorite things to make is chili cheese dogs. The hotdogs roasted over a fire, open a can of chili and sat by the fire to heat up and real shredded cheese (not pre shredded with added ingredients) ready to go. Low mess and easy! Brown and serve rolls on stick, heat up nicely over a fire, served with kerry gold butter and freezer jam. I usually find rolls at holidays, so I freeze for camping.

Becky and Susan, I see an opportunity for another 'party planning course' but for camping events. Our family camps a lot and everyone just packs for quick meals(hot dogs, hamburgers, etc) it does gets old I gotta say. We do a lot of our cooking on a Blackstone, grill or open fire. We sure can use some major help in planning and executing meal times on our camping trips. Please think about it. I'm customer#1 ready to get rolling with it. ❤😉

Hi Becky & Mom, Thank you so much for this video. It helped me so much. My family and I are going to our County Fair and staying in our trailer for the first time this week. My daughter raises hogs for FFA and she will be taking them to market. We learned that staying at the fair makes life a lot easier. These tips and tricks were fantastic.
