It's not just the bowl game...its the way they played! I seriously had tears! I was beginning to think I would not live to see that kind of football in NE again.
Best Husker podcast around, thanks fellas! So good to be a Husker fan right now, didn't know if I would ever be able to say that again and include the football program, GBR!
The Bo Pelini curse has been partially lifted. Seven straight nine plus win seasons, seven straight bowls, three conference championship games IN TWO POWER 4 conferences.
Good podcast.. You guys analyse internal and external factors, ie pressure on coaches, players, lotta goodies. Along with Adam, gotta like you guys!, from a Nebraskan stuck in Colorado. GBR and boo,hoo Colorado and their entitled Shover( sic) Sanders
Nick, if you sit up in the 600s section in east stadium you can literally see every single thing open up, you can tell how far each play goes for. Its actually an amazing view, especially if you can get like mid field in the 600s
Both Emmett and Haarberg under Satterfield would carry the ball so high, it seems when someone does that, they lose some mobility in the arm swing and hip movement and focus is keeping it high and tight. I hated seeing that from Emmett and Haarberg because you didn't see any other running backs or ball carriers doing that around the country. I am not seeing them do that now and I think it helps when they don't have to focus so much on ball security and high and tight.
As a former Nebraskan living in Wisconsin for 28 years, I can't begin to explain how good this win felt. The laughter and ridicule I got from Wisconsin fans when I proudly fly the Husker flag is now done! GBR!!!
And their was great joy in Mudville, the mighty Husker's qualified for a durn bowl game. I assume everyone's moved back from the ledge. I was concerned there for a while. 😉
Hahahaha!! That should totally be a mini segment within this podcast: Trough Talk!! LOL Without looking anyone in the circle in the eyes...what are fans talking about.
It's like the offense all year has been a manual transmission, but Satt has only ever driven an automatic. Stalling out, grinding gears, then Holgerson comes in and he learned to drive manual when he was 12.
I've been hollering this for so long now,if they have Emmitt as RB1 and give him around 20 carries a game,he'll get 100 yards rushing, and if they will run that ball for 150 or more yards per game, they will win at a very high level again. They have to be dedicated to doing these things every game or they will always be just average.
Baseball is absolutely a be there not watch on tv sport, if you understand the game. Because on tv you miss all the active parts, even between pitches.
Good on them to reach a bowl game, but 6 should never be the expectation & it wasn’t heading into the season. Beat Iowa and win a bowl game and I think everyone will agree that 8 wins is SOLID progress. That gives you the chance to sell Nebraska to any recruit/transfer in the country, especially is Holgerson returns. 6 is bare minimum and does very little regarding our perception nationwide
Oh, and we LOVED Lucky Bucket, but then they changed, and now it is not the same, and unfortunately we have not been back since. They had something good and ruined it.
Been waiting for this podcast ep since the clock hit 0 on saturday. Best husker football podcast out there, hands down.
These two guys are great analysts.
Amazing how that 6th win has changed the mood of the fandom.
It’s what we needed for so long. Who we , how we beat them, the players who showed up, having Dana, dang it feels good
Waited for this podcast all day
So did I
I want to hear nick talk about the basketball game as well
I did also.
Congratulations to the Huskers
Loved celebrating the break. BUT WE WANT 1 MORE
GBR
2 more!!!!
It's not just the bowl game...its the way they played! I seriously had tears! I was beginning to think I would not live to see that kind of football in NE again.
Hooray for DANA HOLGORSEN in helping Nebraska win. Coog Nation.
Did you see how Ty crunched that poor guy when he came in to play fullback? Oh, my!
Love this pod and how you break everything down!
Good work
Going bowling by smashing Wisconsin, Christmas came early this year.
Such a nice sweet sound! " you don't want to go overboard, but the next game and the bowl game" gotta love that!!!
Best Husker podcast around, thanks fellas! So good to be a Husker fan right now, didn't know if I would ever be able to say that again and include the football program, GBR!

Never should have replaced him with Riley. Never.
The trough conversation had me crying of laughter
Took 37 years and we finally did it!

@ don’t know if you know this but you didn’t leave a comment on the video, you just replied to mine. I didn’t make this podcast haha.

John Hohl is now in The Club, if it wasn't shut down for the year.
This is the Trough-Talk Pod, featuring Nick Bahe and Bo Rudd
Yes, we are excited. Still, Matt Rhule cautioned that this is the last time "we are going to celebrate 6."
Beating Wisconsin in football and Creighton in basketball in back to back days is an incredible feeling. Sorry not sorry Nick.

the 2 back system helps with a lot of this
The only Bo Pelini curse was every word out of his mouth! Dr. Tom set THE standard by his behavior, his wirds, his mind and his brilliant coaching!
Was Malachi Coleman on the sideline?
Best $800k the Huskers ever spent.
Please keep the trough!
those 15 practices pay dividends over time when trying to develop talent. that would be why bowls are important
Pretty sure Nick is confusing the handwashing station, which is round, with a urinal
Someone holla at they boy Larry in Lexington and tell him the club is back open again

it isn't the expectation, not by any means... but we need to build on wins, and that 6th win is something we have not had for a while.
8 wins would be awesome
Circle trough? Nick, you've been pissing in the hand washer.
How does he show up to this pod with Creighton gear on?
Do you really not know who he is?
Oh, and we LOVED Lucky Bucket, but then they changed, and now it is not the same, and unfortunately we have not been back since. They had something good and ruined it.
Don’t put Nick in charge of season ticket sales at Nebraska please.
It’s a big deal because the bowl game is the actual sex and the regular season is the foreplay. We haven’t made it to the sex in almost a decade.
You okay?
@ you kidding? I’m fantastic!
Sex???
@ life is like a cheeseburger. You know? It’s an analogy.
Nick’s confusing game balls and gum balls. Game ball = 1 per game. Gum balls = as many quarters as your mommy will give you
Bahe fake laughing is the only bad thing in show.
Hockey on TV is awful.
Long kickoff return because of bazooka spiking the ball in the end zone. Get off the field!!!!
