  • Makhani, with its deeply colored and flavorful gravy, is perhaps one of the most beloved Indian curries. This Vegan Tofu Makhani is best served with naan bread or basmati rice for a delicious, healthy meal.

    Indian Butter Tofu | Tofu Makhani
    Ingredients:
    Marinade:
    1 tbsp ginger paste
    1 tbsp garlic paste
    2 tbsp non dairy yogurt
    1 tbsp garam masala
    1/2 tbsp chili powder
    add salt to taste
    2 blocks silken tofu (thawed and pressed after freezing)
    2 tbsp olive oil for pan frying
    Gravy:
    1 tbsp olive oil
    1 white onion
    500 ripe diced tomato
    1 tbsp non dairy butter (add more as needed)
    1 tbsp ginger paste
    1 tbsp garlic paste
    30g toasted cashew
    2 tbsp coconut sugar
    1 tbsp garam masala
    1 tbsp chili powder
    1/2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
    1/2 cup water
    1 tbsp dried fenugreek leaves
    salt to taste
    2 tbsp non dairy yogurt
    fresh cilantro/coriander leaves
    toasted cashew nuts for garnish
    best served with rice or naan bread

      Hello, the weight of each block of tofu is 300g, and reduced to 100g each after the freezing, thawing, and pressing method. Happy cooking!
