My new (and only ) Etsy shop is all about music (musicians and music lovers). Hoping that's not too narrow of a niche. I have POD items for various instruments and genres of music.
Being on Etsy is so exciting and so nerve-wracking at the same time 😅 So far, I've been growing each month 🫶
That’s awesome! And yes it can be 🤣
What do you recommend when you have multiple products from different niches that are selling from your store?
I worry about how to niche down.
I don't use anyone but my own website I believe in the old school way
@brand creators : I really love drawing floral things (plants, flowers, bees, etc.) and other nature-related things. It would be for POD at least to start. Maybe expand it by even dipping into the spiritual side (many people who like crystals also like plants for example). I don't know if this would count as a niche and if so what to call it. Maybe nature lovers? Floral? Would like some advice.
Regarding multiple listings vs single listing with multiple options. What about star sign items? Would it be better to have 12 blankets each with just one star sign design, or one listing, with 12 options for the blanket? I know the seperate listing will cost more (but not by a huge amount) but would probably be better for targeted SEO, is that correct?
64k, thank you

I know it’s not what you teach but im new and not ready to settle into a niche, so im focused on tech cases. They are not as over saturated as shirts and sweatshirts and its something i enjoy designing for. Once i have more experience and find the one niche that i like and sells well for me, then i will focus more directly on that.
It's like writing. You have to have your audience in mind.
My niche I would say, and I'm fully realizing that my shop needs a lot of fixing, is fantasy art. I don't see a lot of fantasy art that isn't rip offs of dnd or lotr or other fantasy shows and movies.
Our etsy shop has two niches, rustic countertop shelves made to order and rustic wedding cake stands
Hi Scott, and Christopher, thank you for another awesome video! I joined your POD fast track and it's brilliant. I am ready to start my second shop with a niche this time but I wondered if I should leave the listings in my general store as I am obviously using some of them in my new store and so should I double up? Thanks so much
A random Question, do you the listing in Etsy or in Printify before uploading?
Wouldn’t some sub niches be “trends”…like cottage core and western?
I have three stores: one is a psychology based shop, one is a pet based shop and one is digital downloads only. None are succeeding. I did have several sales of a calendar featuring a particular breed. I’ve toyed with the idea of making a store for just that breed. Would that be too niche specific?
64K please

All these places are flooded by millions and they tell you that and people posting everything and anything is not gonna make you much money that's for sure a lot of green people out there like newbies I should say
Birth Month Flower Prints
I got into a mentoring program where the mentor kept insisting that I sell my Etsy shop. Not understanding that we CANNOT sell an Etsy shop.
Then he said to sell the inventory at a total loss to get sales.
Obviously not an e-commerce mentor, lol.
He keeps asking if I have sold my Etsy shop yet. Gee whiz.
I saw on etsy yesterday a shop selling its whole inventory for £90, it was printable though

I am an AI artist. my niche focus WAS queer art for frame tv. After watching you guys, clearly I went too far! I am an artist. That is my niche, but the numbers aren’t good for art. So what do I do? Sell art on t shirts???? Thats a product based business. That’s not really a niche. I’m joining today. I’m want an audit, I can learn from yall. But if you tell me I need to niche to farmhouse decor, I’m just quit and go sell hotdogs on a cart! 😂😂😂
This is not what I want to hear. I'm trying to have an interesting solution to reproduction art, and it doesn't fit in a niche because it's covering three bodies of work. So while I can see using weddings or children's room home decor for one of my bodies of work, another body of work that is not geared to either of those....
64k please

Do you recommend a shop selling only one product? Does that qualify as a niche?
is the one product customizable and/ or personalizable?
At the moment no but I hope too in the future

by the way, it’s pronounced ‘Neesh’ and not ‘Nitch
Actually, both are correct in English and Nitch is the older and more common way of saying it :)
I can’t listen to someone who pronounces “niche” wrong. Uggg….
Darn…I’m sorry to see you go for such a silly reason 😂
@@brandcreators it’s the difference of watching someone eat and listening to someone eat. 😂
What are you talking about? 10 thousand / month? Lol I have got 240€ / year.
I get that your selling point for all your training courses is all about ‘having a brand ‘ and ‘ having a niche’ but that’s not the ONLY way to be successful on Etsy, and for you to claim that it is, is a little disingenuous. It’s possible to have a successful shop on Etsy which isn’t ‘niched down’ to one particular area - you can have an eclectic shop which sells a wide variety of products serving a huge variety of niches. There’s more than one way to skin a cat, as the saying goes, and I think you aren’t being fair to say these shops can’t be successful.
Well, that’s what makes the world round. But I wouldn’t recommend any of my friends or family do it any other way as I’m always looking at building brands for longevity. To each their own
