    It's pathetic that the comments are hating Pentecostalism.. When Christ said, the world will hate you, I didn't expect 'Christians' to be a part of it..

    How does all of that lead to Charles Parham (which led to the eventual Azusa Street revival)?

    I don't understand some of the comments here. God moved to draw people closer to Himself and to inspire them to want to please Him in their lives. Why is that an issue? That is not a denominational or racial concern. It's a Christian concern.

    Pentecost means 50 it was a Jewish holy day celebration by Jew in the middle east they would do pilgrimage to Jerusalem this was the birthday of the church that every denomination claims they came out of it Pentecostals we got started there the baptism of the holy ghost read the book of Acts they spoke in tongues Paul said have you receive the holy ghost since you believe

      @@bigtobacco1098 No we should not return to wearing tunics. I will say that Pentecostal holiness standards have been so strict in the past that I think seekers were kept from coming to the Lord because of them. God changes us from the inside out not the other way around.
      In today's Pentecostal churches those old holiness standards aren't as strict.
      I do think that believers should be distinguished from sinners by our modest and respectful appearence.

    • @robertnieten7259
      @robertnieten7259 2 года назад

      @@bigtobacco1098 It depends on what scriptures you are referring to. Such as, it not alowed for women to speak in church. That has changed based on changes in culture.
      The most important point is whether the Lord instructions on how we can be saved are the same today as they were then.

    44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
    45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

    Whatever the doctrine is by different denominations, it's not godly. Man made. Why not surrender totally to God with serious repentabce? The God may anoint you with the Holy Spirit. The motive is critical.

    That's the character of protestantism, once one feel discontent to others or their pastor they tend to break away and form another group and claim that they are the truth. Hahahahahaha. That's why it keeps on splintering, each having his own doctrine and interpretation. I don't know if the Holy Spirit is causing this discord among them 🤣🤣🤣 as they claim that they are all guided by the Holy Spirit. The most abuse person of the holy trinity, the Holy Spirit.
