tbh I've also been in a reading slump when it comes to books for a few years, but then I started reading manga and I've been enjoying myself a lot with them. I think I'm also just so burned out from books due to studying so much in Uni, but things like manga and hell, even fanfiction, is a joy to read for some reason
I feel for you and your reading slump, I hope you find something to get you out of it. I think that what i usually do is do a reread of a favourite and that most often gets me going again. Interesting that you didn't like Emma, it seems so popular and I love when someone has a deviating opionion about a popular book. I love used books. I love giving love to someones unhauled books.
rereading is my go to but it didn't work this time 😭 i just really didn't like emma as a character so the whole book was a pain to me 😔 and SAME i just donated some books that will hopefully find a better home with someone else 🩷

Also, One Dark Window is fantastic and the sequel is even better. It's got everything. Total page-turner.

manga and fics are such a go-to when i'm in a reading slump, especially if i've read it already and i know i'm gonna enjoy myself
