  • Video lesson on the negative effects of ethanol on liver metabolism. Alcohol abuse can lead to toxic outcomes on the metabolism of the liver, including dysregulation of glycolysis, lactic acidosis, TCA cycle dysfunction, hypoglycemia, and hyperlipidemia, leading to fatty liver disease (hepatosteatosis). This lesson will explain why and how these toxic outcomes occur.
Hey everyone, in this lesson you will learn what the consequences of ethanol consumption and metabolism are on the functioning of important metabolic pathways in the liver. You will learn the step-by-step pathway by which alcohol metabolism and its metabolites alters metabolism and function of glycolysis, TCA cycle, gluconeogenesis, and fatty acid synthesis and oxidation.

I drink a lot of beer, and noticed my legs are beginning to have a pain sensation/tingling almost like i worked out too much. I'm thinking this is whats happening, im building up lactic acid in the legs. I also suffer from back pain, and Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrone(Small intestine blockage) which may lead to malnutrition, and also suffer from CNS damage and Lyme Disease. I will stop drinking for at least 1 week and hydrate with all electrolytes, and vitamins/thiamine. I'll update accordingly! My leg pain is maybe a 4/10 its annoying, gets better with elevation, or movement usually.
    EDIT: 32 Year old Male, 145 Lb's.

The tingling sensation in your feet might be early diabetes II. Do the HOMA-IR test!

@@JohnSmith-ok9sn Thanks bro. I feel fine now but I think I should do that test, as I drink a lot due to lyme disease ruining my CNS. Thats what keeps me calm, or to sleep(besides Marijuna). I drink Aprx 6 beers per day. some days 0, other days 12, but usually around 6, and i drink corona extra. 4.6%
