Wow, seems that there's not a bad tone to be found with this amazing tone shaping BEAST of a pedal! Thanks for this awesome informative presentation! Great playing too!
Well done. I own this pedal and you were on point when you said this BEAST is the best gain pedal ever. The guitar is not the best, the amp is not the best but, that pedal is the Overlord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This and the Diezel VH4-2 are the two best preamp/gain pedals I've owned. The AMT Electronics preamp pedals are also very good. I have the P2 (Peavey 5150) and Vt2 (VHT Pitbull Ultra Lead). I especially like the Vt2, but the Orange and Diezel pedals are in another league.
Can I use this pedal for direct recording into an audio interface going into cubase ? Will I still get these awesome sounds ? Or should I be buying a good combo amp and mic'ing it ? I am trying to basically go direct out into my audio interface because I live in an apartment and need direct to keep sound to a minimum.
That sounded Glorious. I don't now how much your amp, That awesome Godin had to do with the tone but that was impressive tone and sweet distortion. Can I run this straight into a powered FRFR speaker with the speaker emulation output or would it damage it ? Just got the BAX and don't want to blow anything up. Thanks-
You should be just fine to run the speaker emulated out into an FRFR. I can't say for sure how good it would sound since I haven't tried that, but it will work just fine and you won't damage anything. Just make sure to start with the level control all the way down and gradually bring it up so you don't have any unwanted clipping.
Thanks 3 years later lol. I just got it off the shelf and have been watching demos, and yours is the best one on YT. I play many different styles, and like your playing.I like that the note definition rings through. What was your signal chain ? Straight into an amp on clean channel, or FX Loop ? What Amp ? Thank You.
You may have said at the intro, but are you running the pedal through the front of the Monoprice or the effects loop? I'm glad you are doing the video with that amp, thinking of getting one and it seems to take pedals very well
Through the front all through this demo, although it does sound equally nice into the FX return. The Monoprice takes pedals very nicely, I think. That being said, if you put something into the FX return, you may need to add another pedal after it for some clean volume boost, since the master volume on the Monoprice doesn't directly control the power amp. Still a great buy!
By the way I am an electrician. I could talk you thru some tests and give you some solutions to getting "clean" power to your gear. You may already have a solution. If you don't let me know.

I really does capture that orange tone. I wonder how it would sound through a rack tube power amp?

Nice Rush intro! Nice sound on that pedal too!

Not my cup of tea but a good informational video. Thanks Lucas!!
I really like my monoprice 15 but the builtin reverb on mine is total crapito.
Love the djent intro. Using full chords to do djent instead of drop c power chords is a fresh approach to playing. :-)
Djent? That was Rush, youngster.
Those chords came from Canada there youngster!
@@RichTones Wow. All I can say is wow.
Ben Burnett in regards to what?
LMAO 😆🤔🤔😆😆😆😆😆
Anyone have any ideas on how to get that 15 watt monoprice amp to sound more like Marshall and less twangy?
It may need biasing.. Mine has more of a voxy breakup than marshally one.. I put in some TAD EL84's and it helped a lot.
Thanks @@cawfeedawg
You can hook me anytime you forge into some RUSHHHHHH! Great job on your reviews.

Yeah, I'd say it's expensive for a pedal...
Yikes that pedal is wayyyyy out of my price range
