Even the titanium snaps and it’s even harder to drill out
@@enginepowered3353 the original ones were 22% titanium, the revised bolts are 98% titanium, rust still expands around the titanium.
I own a spray in bedliner business and fords are the only trucks that we spray over the bed bolts unless the customer brings in brand new hardware. We also charge $150 for all new fords because there are so much in the beds to disconnect and mask off.

Im loving the truck build series, im painting my Nissan Patrol as we speak. Trucks are the bread and butter to any operation, most important tool in the shop tbh. Hang in there the time and effort will pay off

You know rudnik and Trevor there is a very super easy way to get those so-called "bitch bolts" out. All you need is a Crayola crayon or some kind of decent wax. You heat the bolt up till it is just about glowing cherry red then you melt candle wax letting it drip onto the bolt, it will seep down into the threads breaking loose any rust, grime or seized material on the threads allowing you to remove it very easily. I have used the wax method to remove over a hundred of these so-called "bitch bolts"!

There’s banter and then there’s “banter”. I agree with Trevor’s comment about trying to be entertaining in the one video I watched. It’s honestly more entertaining to watch when the banter isn’t overboard and seems to be forced. It’s okay to act more mature and be entertaining. Take this comment with a grain of salt but there’s no shame in being humble and transparent.
When I do jobs like that I order a gasket kit so you have everything you'll need and save what you don't use

That cp4 is fine lol look up pictures of what people’s look like when they do go bad swap out the cp4 for a dcr pump and you will be fine

The oil in the turbo is probably because someone used an oiled filter, before I stopped using em for a little bit I’d noticed the boost pipe after my intercooler and right in front of the compressor had oil buildup, I cleaned it and stopped using the oiled filters and haven’t seen any since
Also a little bit of oil mist on the compressor fins won’t hurt it, actually lubricates It a little bit, but too much and a big clump flies in and you risk the fins on the compressor bending or cracking under boost

My turbo is the same. Common on diesels for them to pass a little oil. Mines been like it for the last 50k of death driving. Still no issues.

The only thing I have found that can loosen up a seized bolt like that is an air powered heavy duty needle descaler with wd40 before you wrench.

Put a magnet in it and if it sticks it’s metal
30:21 I like to use my finger to lightly press the rtv into the surface and give a little "twist" until I feel the rtv "grab" the surface to make sure it is stuck and to make sure no air gets trapped
if you think it might be metal but not sure then test it with a magnet
