@@bitfinesse the obese ones are actually healthy in some ways. Their digestion and apetites are in order. It's just that they're eating crap. But skinny people eating crap should look out. That signals some deeper problem imo.
Heartbeat at 28 that's real low I worked with a this guy was that very athletic at his heart rate was in the low 40s when he was in his 60s he had to get a pacemaker. Eating that low in calories it is no wonder why a lot of people our so hangry not enough carbs.
It is not miracle. It is called adaptation. They were losing weight pretty fast because their metabolism was healthy = fast before they start reducing the calories.. THat is response of healthy body.. You should start slowly increasing your calorie intake. Lets say by 200kcal every week. Adult male should eat at least 2500-3000kcal and female around 2000-2500kcal + also add calories that you burn during acitivity like if you exercise or if you have hard manual labor job..
I agree. I think the US probably has a starvation problem. I know so many people with fatigue issues.
Americans eat empty, tasty calories. Not a whole lot of food being eaten here.

So the men said they didn’t usually eat that well? Does that mean usually they eat less but had to eat more prior to experiment?
No, the food was higher quality, they had already been eating around that calorie range
