    Why be so dogmatic about macros? I eat fruit, meat, eggs and dairy and I've trimmed up nicely. The randle cycle is complete bs.

    I think when on diet there is fat released from the storage, that fat blocks carb metabolism, so some carbs get converted into bodyfat. The person starts turning proteins into carbs and then into fat. So while burning fat the person is getting fatter, also gets kidney failure because of increased ammonia, and water retention. Aspirin probably could stop the release of fats, or slow down, and increase the metabolism of carbs, thus proteins will not be turned into carbs, no kidney failure, less water retention I will tell you what happens if you use supplements on a 2000 calorie diet, instead of 3000 kcal. Of course, supplements work less when you are undereating, but still they do work to some extent. The supplements do not let you use the stored fats or even dietary fats (aspirin, niacinamide). That is probably the reason why people also gain fat on peatish diet. You are not getting enough carbs (too little calories), so the body starts using proteins for carbs (there is enough protein in the peatish diet). You get to much ammonia, kidney start failing. Also, because the metabolism is increased because of supplements, your body might start using your own tissues as the source for carbs (as mentioned, usage of fat is mostly blocked).But if you increase the daily calories, the supplements will start to work,and when there is plenty of carbs, a lot of harmful reactions will be stopped. And supplements will start working as they are supposed to. Edema/water retention/sudden weight gain is a sign of stress. Stress means carbs are not used properly or there is t oo little of carbs in the diet. And I remember during hard exercising days I gained the more weight the less I was eating. If I was eating plenty, and exercising a lot, i would not gain or would gain very little weight.

    Maybe your body is different than most. You said your body was weird because it would gain and lose 20 lbs in a day. I think people should try different things and find out what works for them and everyone needs to stop bashing other diets.

    for those who were under eating in the past, aspirin will help against edema and water retention if the person is eating enough calories. Stress is estrogenic. (Minnesota starvation experiment, Ray Peat "Estrogenic activation, with the uptake of water and the loss of potassium", "Potassium is necessary for utilization of sugar, and should probably always be tried as a supplement in the diabetic diet." "The continuing accumulation of polyunsaturated fats in the tissues is undoubtedly important in the changing relationship between the pancreas and the adrenal glands in aging. Aspirin, which is antilipolytic, decreasing the release of free fatty acids, as well as inhibiting their conversion to prostaglandins, lowers the production of stress-induced aldosterone, and helps to lower blood pressure, if it's taken in the evening, to prevent the increase of free fatty acids during the night. Aspirin increases insulin sensitivity. A similar situation, reduced blood volume and edema, can be seen (Tarazi, 1976) in "essential hypertension," the "unexplained" high blood pressure that occurs more often with increasing age and obesity. At the beginning of "essential hypertension," the amount of blood pumped is usually greater than normal. In both situations, preeclampsia and essential hypertension, there is an increased amount of aldosterone, an adrenal steroid which allows the kidneys to retain sodium, and to lose potassium and ammonium instead." "estrogen’s immediate effect on a responsive tissue is to cause it to take up water, and to increase its ratio of sodium to potassium; these changes lead to depolarization-activation of nerve, muscle, and some glandular cells, and of initiation of growth and cell division in other cell types. If the stimulation to growth process continued unchecked, or even accelerated, it’s obvious that form and proportion and organization would quickly be lost."     I feel amazing with calm and stable energy on a moderate fat, low glycemic carbohydrate diet. Carbs make me feel energized, fats give me sustained energy levels. You likely weren't eating a healthy plant based slow carb, high fat diet, but a ridiculous amount of protein and animal products, this was the problem (and keto limits protein). The human diet should contain healthy carbs, fats and a moderate, but adequate amount of protein. You made some videos about your fatigue and low energy on the low fat diet, please consider adding some healthy fats back in. ~

    Take a good look at rhe carnivores thag have channels . They end up looking very dehydrated! One half or a carnivore couple has admitted Botox although she is only about 40 . Really you can tell when she speaks. Certain words don’t come out as usual because of the face being restricted . Alway before their lives I see it . Yep coffee is a biggie and another reason they look so dehydrated. As for yiu reason raw works to get rid of the retained fluid is partly because of the fiber and low calories high mineral content . Starchy veg thag are cooked for that matter have more carbs which will cause you to retain more water but not to excess. You holding it one of water when you were a keto person and eating high meat I suspect was because your body was unable to get rid of the waste products or protein metabolism. I have no doubt you saved your life going off keto .

    I have da exact same experience. I can eat fruit all day with zero water retention or weight gain. As SOON as I have potatoes or beans in da evening I look 6 months pregnant and scale shoots up almost 5 lbs next day. Doesn’t happen with rice or bread tho which makes me think it’s a fiber issue. So I’ve moved over to an all raw high fruit day followed by an all starch day. Just alternating. So far it seems okay but I’ll give it a month to assess. So maybe see which starch impacts you most. Also might be good to bring sum successful RawTill4 folks on yr channel to see how they explain mixing fruit and starch. I’d love to hear. Fruit kid seems to do this very well

      Humans urinate there bone mass after eating meat that's not good. Hip replacements and bone fractures on the elderly is very common in the west. In African countries where they cant afford meat and eat starches and fruit mainly; They don't have that problem. Each time you eat meat your body will use a specific protein only found in bones as well as zink and calcium from the bones to buffer the acids of meat or you will die. I'm pretty sure a lion doesn't have to do that when they eat meat. So meat is not good for use. We are herbivores not even omnivores.

    There are tons of carnivore channels on RUclips my dude. Plenty with good results. Laura Spath happens to be my favorite. Edit: I should add I eat a carnivore diet. I have an anal fissure and it's the only thing that helped. I tried plant based and I was in agony. I really truly wished I could live on potatoes and rice, but my butt will simply not allow it.       But Walter Kempner cured diabetes on a diet of only white rice, fruit, fruit juice, and sugar. I eat whole wheat most of the time when I eat wheat since I think it tastes better than white wheat, but I only eat white rice. Do you think white rice should also be avoided?

    man I kept trying plant based for years. Unfortunately just couldn’t get the body I wanted with it .I finally did DNA test turns out my dads people were from Iceland .There is not access to plants there .They lots of fish and meat .My moms side is Native and Irish .Again my ancestors from reservations evolved eating mostly meats .I’m doing way better cutting out starches and eating greens and lean meats .I tried so long to make vegan work .My face has slimmed down so much .I’m feeling well enough to exercise again .Now don’t get me wrong I think Carnivore is crazy and unhealthy.I still enjoy your channel especially the religious stuff .I do follow some of Ray Peats work .I do have a cup of orange juice in the morning .Wish all of you well

    i was forcing food to get 3000 calories a day in...i barely do any physical activity and my life is very sedentary...i gained a shitload of weight...i’m talking i went from 155 to like 210...i’ve recently just been eating like 2000 calories a day and my weight has been dropping off...all i know is i don’t feel like i’m forcing in the calories like i used to

    I agree with Rogers….eating simple sugars is a bad idea. I experienced plenty of rebound hypoglycemic from it, despite Durian Rider’s insistence on it. I felt awful from it and told Durian Rider. He said it was all in my head.

    I’ve been carnivore only since 2017. So going on 7 years now. Zero deficiencies. I started it to cure my type 2 diabetes. My blood glucose went from an hourly avg of 250 to 85, measured every waking hour. And that happened in the first 24 hours. Diabetes is a sugar problem, not a fat problem. 4 months later confirmed cures by an HbA1c of 5.5% down from 11.8%. CURED. Also reversed my cancer. It began to shrink twice as fast as it had been growing. NO MORE CANCER. This is a well known side effect of not eating carbs for a very long time now. Dont feed cancer what it needs, and it dies. It must have sugar to ferment for fuel. Dont eat carbs, starve the cancer. Cancer goes away. And in no particular order, cured the following problems I had for at leadt 20 years…. - Kidney stones gone. At least one per month for at least two years before starting carnivore. GONE. - IBS gone - Asthma gone - Arthritis gone - Seasonal allergies gone - Mouth ulcers, previously about 3 or 4 times a year would erupt, making it very painful to even drink water, and eating was near impossible. GONE! - Yeast infections/heat rash/candida GONE - mental clarity! What an understatment!!!! - weight loss from 250 pounds to 190 pounds in 30 days. 60 pounds in one month! Hell yea!! - skin problems cleared up. Looked like psoriasis, never was diagnosed, but it went away, and has not returned. All of those things happened within the first couple of months or faster. I did not expect to have any affect on anything but diabetes. So I was pleasantly surprised. I am not going back to plants. For any reason. I take only vitamin D3 supplements because I get so little sun. And I eat about 10,000 mg of salt a day. All other supplements are ZERO. Nada. Zip. Zilch. And I have bloodwork down at least once a year. Pisses of the docs at the V.A. For sure. They want me to take statins. I tell them to F-off. And where they can stick their statins. What the hell, here is my blood work for last year. as of 16 Dec 2022 Urine PSA 0.71 SPECIFIC GRAVITY 1.018 URINE BLOOD NEGATAIVE URIVE BILIBRUBIN NEGATIVE URINE PH 5 URINE NITRITE NEGATIVE URINE LEUKOCYTE ESTERASE NEGATIVE URINE PROTEIN NEGATIVE URINE GLUCOSE NEGATIVE URINE COLOR YELLOW URINE CLARITY CLEAR UROBILINOGEN NORMAL Blood and serum CHOLESTEROL 192 TRIGLYCERIDE 89 HDL 47 dLDL 129 VLDL 18 BUN 26 CREATININE 1.3 HbA1c 5.5% SODIUM 139 PATASSIUM 3.6 CHLORIDE 106 CO2 25 CALCIUM 8.7 EGFR 63.3 TOTAL PROTEIN 7.0 ALBUMIN 3.9 TBIL 0.4 ALP 55 ALT 31 AST 13 TSH 2.1

      I have none of those problems that you listed and I am eating the opposite. Very high carb very low fat. My a1c has never been higher than 5.2. It was 5.0 when I last had it tested. My fasting insulin was also 2.3. At least one of those 2 numbers is probably lower than yours if not both of them.

    I hope you can interview these girls that would be really helpful, I unfortunately have a very short torso with long gigantic ridiculously long femur bones , I can for sure say that doing squats is a little uncomfortable, my knees will always always always always go over my toes and there's nothing I can do about it, my upper body wants to tilt forward , I cannot keep my upper body straight up no matter how hard I try because of these giraffe femurs

      @@daysoftheboo wider leg stance will do it but the muscles used in squaring is also used in deadlift. Also don’t have your back too vertical in the squat that isn’t needed. You have much better leverage when the back is forward and the bar is lower sitting on the shoulder girdle. It’s all about optimal lever arm

When I do deadlifts I feel it in my glutes hamstrings and lower back and I need to strengthen my lower back, when I do squats I feel it in my glutes quads and the inner thigh muscles I forgot what they're called, I do barbell squats dumbbell squats Sometimes I do squats with a trap bar , but I don't think just doing deadlifts alone would help me with my goals

      @@daysoftheboo I can do a reaction video to my favorite teacher. But honestly the only exercise I think anyone needs is squatting but deadlift is a close second. Inner thigh is adductor, abductor is outer muscle.

    21:30 of course you urinate a lot if your sodium intake is very low and potassium intake very high. Sodium retains water and potassium is acting as diuretic.. That's exactly what bodybuilders or athletes do when they want flush all the water from their system. They drink a lot of water, increase potassium and completely eliminate sodium from the diet.. You urinate like crazy and flush water from your system. The body can't hold it without sodium.. Excess sodium is bad, too little sodium even worse. Older people are dying from hyponatremia all the time..

    I would pee every three hours at the end of each sleep cycle and go right back to sleep really easy when I was 100% raw vegan fruit based 80/10/10 style. I would sleep 12 hours too, but I felt AMAZING during the day. So much energy. But I could only sleep well if I ate minimum 3000 cals a day from fruit. That was before cane sugar supplementation.

      Eating 3000 calories from fruit in one day is impossible for me, even if I eat dates and raisins. Even more than 2000 calories from fruit in one day is almost impossible for me.

      @@healthcausesregeneration Yeah well when I was doing this I was living in the tropics and we just went to bed when sun went down around 8pm and would be up by 8am, I mean, theres plenty of time in the day there but we were just eating fruit and doing fitness or going to the beach. When I would do it when I was home in the states I was not working at that time besides trimming weed here and there. I was early 20s then. Now I eat fruit for breakfast and lunch and do cooked dinners and im sleeping 9 hours to feel my best. If I work out really hard one day and eat a lot I can sleep even longer. I love sleep. The more I get the better I always feel during the day.

      @@jonathanr5184 Yeah I find when I eat the whole fruit its much harder to get 3000 calories from fruit unless its mango and like different varieties of banana or mamey or green sapote. Also champedek. Or like perfect ripe melons. But if I dont have access to that stuff like trying to eat more than 500 calories of grapes or something in a meal is hard. And cavendish bananas I pretty much have to blend, so I can get down enough. Same with dates, I dont like eating them whole unless super gooey and fresh, especially Barhi variety which are more smooth and caramel and dont burn the throat like medjools can. So year right now I eat about 1500 cals a day from fruit because of the kind of fruit I have access to.

      @@robfer5370 our mouth looks nothing like a carnivore. My cat could open her mouth much wider, her teeth were all very sharp, she lapped water, and her jaw only moved in one direction. They have large fangs that don't even fit in their mouth, they can also catch prey themselves with nothing but their bodies. They don't see in color to detect ripe fruit. They enjoy eating meat raw and having blood all over them. Digestive tract is a 1/3 the length of ours as meat decays very quickly.

    Triglycerides are increased by eating carbs. Its a plant thing, not a meat thing. If you have high triglycerides cut out carbs. It will go down very quickly.

If I was offered 1 billion dollars to get over 145 pounds without changing my diet, I still couldn't do it. If I started eating the typical high fat SAD diet and ate lots of cheeseburgers, fries, chips, cookies, donuts, bacon, eggs, ice cream, pizzas, and, fried chicken, then I probably could easily get over 145.
