We have a triangle this is not drawn to scale this just a sketch x. 40° and 60° find x which is a/sin A =b/sinB = ×sin60°=8/sinB=×/0.866 cross multiply 8/0.643= 0.643= 8×0.866× 8×0.866/0.634= x=1
+Melissa Singh According to CXC students have great difficulty with this. They don't know when to use the sine rule or cosine rule and when to use sine ratio, cosine ratio or tangent ratio. Remember this Use the sine, cosine and and tangent ratios when the triangle is a right angled (90 degrees) triangle. If the triangle is right angled you can identify the opposite, adjacent and hypotenuse sides. Use the cosine rule when 1. You are given all three sides and no angles. 2. You are given two sides and the angle between the given sides. Use the sine rule when you 1. You have two sides and an angle that is opposite to one of the known sides. 2. You are given two angles and one side and you are asked to find a side opposite to one of the angles.
You could use ASS ( Angle, Side, Side ) and SSS ( Side, Side, Side ) to remember the Cosine rule
😂😂
You don't know how much you've helped me thank you so much
This is so insightful... I wish you would make a circle theorem video.... I would really like you to explain the rules of circle theorem
That was one of my next topics to cover. I just don't have the time right now though.
These note are very helpful towards my examination
in MAY thank.😇
Thank you, sir! I really appreciate your videos. They have helped me tremendously. ..
You are very welcome
Thank you

Find 0 a/sinA=b/sinB=6/sin0=9.2/sin120°=6/sin0cross multiply 9.2/0.866= 9.2sin0=0.866×6=>sin0=0.866×6/9.2 = sin0=0.565 =0 sin (0.565)=0=34.4
So in simple terms to utilize the Sine Rule when there's more than one Angle in a triangle
you saved my life omg...thank you
This is a right angel triangle 9.2cm, 6cm, 120°(0)
Well explained...thank you soo much....

Thanks so much I actually took note of this in your video...
Find x when do we used cosine rule ywe use cosine we have three sides and a angle or two side and angle
Afternoon sir
Thank you for the explanation. The csec mathematics trigonometry is utter fuckery l. (I know I should change my mindeet)
Thank youuu
Sine Rule = a/sinA =b/sinB=c/sinC
Sine Rule a/sina =b/sin b =C/sin c
a/sinA=c/sinC= a/sinA= C/sinC
what app is used to draw the triangles and problems in the video?
I'm using a digital pen and tablet when I'm teaching
Good morning sir
X = 10.8cm
Go live and do past papers for January students please 2023🥲
Good evening sir, isn't sine rule Sin A/ a = Sin B/ b= Sin C/c
Or it doesnt matter?
It doesn't matter
Find cosine rule
