Y /2 = 6 when you have a question students try to find it difficult when you have a formula as fraction you have the next side as the same fraction so it will be is Y /2 = 6/1 and the formula is a×d and b×c which is ad = bc and that is called cross multiplying so is Y/2 = 6/1 cross multiplying so therefore y =12
Seven divided by 2 we have make y the subject of the formula so the first thing we do we write 2×\1so 7/2y=2×\1again we going to cross multiply so 2y×2×is going to give us 4× so 4×ywhich is equal to 7 ×\1which will give us 7 if i want to make y the subject of the formula I have to divide both by 2y so we end up with 4×=7 so is 4×\4×=7/4so then x will cancelled and we will end up with y=7/4like I said when this become second nature to you you will write as 7/2y=is 2yand this will be written as 7/2y is =2×\1cross multiply so we end with 4×y=7we have to make 4×and this become y =7/4× right

hi, im a bit confused with the question f=9/5+32 question why didnt we just put the 32 over 1 n make it a fraction, then cross multiply like the other fraction ones shown? why was the f also multiplied by 5?
I multiplied everything by 5 to avoid the fractions. But you can do it the way you've suggested as follows: 9C/5 = F - 32 9C = 5 x (F - 32) 9C = 5F - 160 C = (5F - 160)/9

for making n the subject in wouldn't n= 5m/t^2 /12 because the opposite of multiplication is division

Sir for the last question I had the 5m at the top and t squared and 12 at the bottom is that still correct
It you write the t squared first it is still correct. By convention we will write it as 5m/12t squared
